Some of you might have heard of the Ixion…
These ships exist in the code and some even have full stat pages. They are not obtainable in game right now, so there’s an awesome opportunity to introduce them!
Right now there’s a huge rarity gap between the more uncommon stock hulls (Garmur, Succubus) and Alliance Tournament prize ships. I think it would be awesome if these unused ships were added to fill that gap, being very difficult to obtain and exceptionally rare but still renewable.
Maybe a 1-run BPC of the Erinye could be given as a very rare drop (0.01% or less) in a Gallente storyline mission, or a Venerable BPC as a very rare drop in Serpentis Capital Shipyards (or a Nullsec unrated escalation chain, already rarely done by players). Maybe the Ixion can be a very rare drop in Angel Cartel ghost sites. The possibilities for where to drop these exceptionally rare finds are endless!
The ships would be standard issue hulls, not purposefully overpowered like AT ships. Like AT ships, though, they would not appear on the in-game ship tree. New players would have to discover them using the Show Info window upon seeing them in space or on scan, or by using skillbook “required for” pages to find them.
