Do you expect a pat on the back now? How am I to present this… thing… to lets say a friend? “Look! To earn at least something you have to click once every 5-15 seconds for the next 15000000 hours and see nothing happens in the meantime! That’s cool am I right?!” Current NPC slaying for reward su… boring enough as it is. Why would you make people mandatory click through it? It does not make any sense. Especially since at times bots have even more functionality available than live players. (like that time bots could react to some info posted by logs and debug console thing?)
I would love to hear developers / management reasoning behind this. Mayme it is a good change after all but somehow me and hella tot of others fail to see it that way.
(Also am I the only one who suspects this will only affect drones and not fighters as usual? Because carrier- and super-flying users are more players than others?)
They’ll be replaced with bots, which already outfarmed any real player. That will drive out every player ten times faster than any blobbing, because soon nobody but bot masters will be able to afford staying in nullsec.

I think the biggest problem with PVE in general is that there is way to many enemies maybe a good next step for CCP is to have much more challenging enemies in much lower numbers that give higher rewards.
You know ppl could just write a keyboard macro with locking targets and pressing F in a random interval right?

This nerf changes nothing, only makes real human players less competitive against botters, which will, probably force more nullsec krabs into botting
What you really need to do is applying the new AI onto old anomalies or overhaul nullsec ratting, this is going to be a massive project and probably will break pos code, yes, but on the other hand nullsec ratting is the largest PVE activity in this game. It would worth the effort and change the game in a good way, and better than just arbitrarily nerfing drone aggro, it is just lazy.

CCP went and just removed ratting from the game instead.
You can’t catch active player unless 1. he is an idiot; 2. you got ultra luck with that lucky warpin to site while he was in warp too and not aligned; 3. you have spy to calculate the timing right.
Afk ratters are easier to tackle and majority of them will wake up after hearing weird sounds so help will get called anyway.

I would suggest a change to Pve where a lot less NPC’s are in each site but are maybe a lot more challenging and rewarding it will at the same time remove all issues players commenting will have by not being able to afk it.

as a programmer here il sum it up for you if you want to get rid of bots find out how they are botting and make changes to stop it. you DONT alienate your paying customers. that is just really bad business sense.
Most bots use a point and click so what you do is get a monitor up to see when something is reading from the eve memory or better yet encrypt it correctly then it cant scan local and all bots will be cannon fodder. <-- there i gave you a working strat that would not hurt your customers EASY.

O_o the whole foundation of eve is based around active players being caught by other players. It is very possible trust me.
At best it only takes around 5 seconds to D-scan a player in an anom from jumping the gate at worst about 30.

try it out. right now. unless you’re in null sec, your drones WON’T aggress automatically upon pvp activity regardless of criminal flag. it’s the underlying crimewatch CODE i’m talking about.

cloak neeed fuel and after cloaky you have some min or hours to cooldown min cloaked x multiplayer = cooldown
so everyone got a chance to hunt campers in the systems = more content
You don’t get the point:
CCP prepare a new premium subscirpiton where you could revert a lot of change. So they need keep cloacky camping to make pressure on farmer to be sure some paid.
CCP more than likely didn’t make the change because of bot for sure but at the same time it will be much easier for CCP to identify bot’s since the contrast will be greater.
