But salient, as now Microsoft is warning people who put W11 on their machines that were unsupported things may not work out well either.

Yes, but did it really have to? What did the player base get? Where is the feature parity? A button to a game most will not play? The positive elements of the launcher like not using a whole eve client worth of ram is an improvement that should be celebrated, though its hard to highlight the good without admitting the old was a huge resource sink at the same time.

We as external players can only speculate. tbh I donāt want to rehash this old discussion. The posts in the thread by more knowledgeable people other than me shine a light on perhaps why CCP did this.
It will get better. Always does. CCP knows their mistakes. They are not stupid. I give them some credit. Sit back and enjoy the ride. CCP has been patching and patching on top of content for ages. It really looks like they know how to refine things over time. We (the players) get used to it and move on. Just like all the other patches with ganking, mining, FW, UI changes, and now a new launcher.
After searching this forum for Vanguard Systems Requirement it lead me to this thread.
Obviously Vanguard requires better than Windows 7

Vanguard stuff is on the discord, though this exemplifies why it should not be. While two things do not make a trend, its kinda wierd that CCP put stuff about equnox on a different web page entirely in addition to putting vanguard content on the discord.
Feels like the whole coke vs coke zero, where its the same company but different floors and they donāt like each other.

Discord is just so intrusive I feel as it wants to know too much information and Iām not very comfortable with discord.

Especially considering the move to integrate advertisements into the client. Mumble and a nice html forum should be enough. More than that is unnecessary.

While Iām an oldschool person who do enjoy those, unfortunately in this day and age barely anyone tends to visit those unfortunately, so I see no chance of them making such a choice.
