I’d expected so much better of a supposed high commander of the slavery death cult than childish name calling. Did I hit a nerve?
So explain to me how I’m being stupid. Your barbaric god demands that we all give up our uniqueness and become Amarrian lapdogs. That’s what I said. How am I wrong?
Or should I just name-call and insult you, slaver?
You are stupid because you have no idea who Vesper is, and yet you make assumptions about her such as these? She merely recognizes us as human and worthy of respect and defense when we are in need, and the only thing you can think to do is berate, denigrate and project absurdities unto.
You are a fool, and you are made cruel by your bitterness and insecurities, as every one of your kind on this blasted medium.
I’m lots of things, but “cruel” and “bitter” aren’t really on that list. I’ll give you “insecure,” though.
And the problem with your defense is that the person you’re defending is selective in whom she views as human and worthy of respect; and, not coincidentally, those who she doesn’t include in that end up disliking and berating her.
Frustrated maybe? Its just odd to watch them overly hostile like it’s their god’s yearly review of it’s subjects. Does it not seem like they’re overly posturing?
Given that the Empire asked us to assist in Thebeka, a job that they are quite capable of performing on their own, one might in fact conclude that the Empress or other officials are indeed conducting some sort of review of us.
Also, the recent conflicts have frayed a lot of nerves, which is likely the cause of some posturing and tempters flaring.
Alright, so. I’m not normally one to involve myself in the Amarr-Minmatar conflict for obvious reasons. I have to ask, however: what makes the Amarr religion a death cult?
It’s not very easily applied to the Rite other than in the most generic terms. You can technically apply it to any religion espousing a rewarding afterlife and working towards this post-death bliss, but it’s in the Rite’s case somewhat disingenuous. I think it’s just being bundled in with some other faiths that are a bit more directly into worship of ascended mortals and so on.
Technically it’s true, but I wouldn’t use the term.
