If a phenomenon takes place in gallente politics, it doesn’t mean it can be applied in the civilized world, or the rest of the Cluster.
But Jevinkalaia, I miss your snark.
Solving problems requires cooperation, which is difficult when so many have such large egos. I’m certain you understand that concept, Charles.
There’s only a few people who have genuinely lost my friendship. You’re welcome to visit me if you wish and we can at least share some chocolate.
That’s a kind offer. Maybe I will.
It does seem like I did lose something. … although, out of all the things you could have argued with about that post, this is a pretty pleasant one, so, maybe not completely?
I’m not right as often as I would like, but usually more often than others are comfortable with.
My ‘ego’ is a superficial satirical take on Capsuleers as a whole in addition to the fundamental problems that Federal society and culture has not only with hedonistic tendencies but also high-horse galavanting to ‘save’ people. It’s not my fault you can’t see through that. Learn to critique and hate yourself more instead of making idiotic, blithe commentary in an attempt to seem like you’re anything other than obnoxious.
TIA
Satirical comedy defense noted.
Hold a spot in the irrelevant peanut gallery for me if I ever get there, okay?
Why? You’re there seated beside me right now, Mr. Schmidt.
Nobody here is relevant.
Genuine “relevance” is a title that less than 20 people alive can currently claim. Probably only 2 to 3 of those people are independent capsuleers.
Well, if you can’t love yourself you might as well laugh.
Relevance is situational and subjective. For example, if we’re discussing the Drifters and ongoing developments with them, Makoto’s relevant. If we’re discussing military buildup in the CEWPA warzones, less so.
If there’s anything more important than my ego around here, I want it caught and shot right now.
I totally agree.
I was however referring more to the endless journey many capsuleers find themselves on in pursuit of the much more ephemeral relevance.
Of being somebody. A name, a reputation, a fan club.
I’ve seen very, very, few capsuleers actually achieve it in the last eight years, and more than a couple drive themselves mad in the attempt. I’ve even done my best to help some of the more obnoxious ones take the non-stop train to retirement.
It’s kinder, in the long run.
That’s the spirit.
Eh, there are some here who are fairly well-known and influential within their own circles. Makoto, Mitara, and Jin’taan come to mind as examples (not that Jin’taan wastes much time here).
But relevance in that regard… that’s not something you chase. It comes to those who do things. If you’re trying for it… you shouldn’t have it, and probably won’t.
Why should I hate myself when I have people like you around to criticise and poke holes without actually doing anything constructive themselves, Charles?
When you do anything actually worth a damn I’ll take your commentary more seriously.
Until then you just sit around telling everyone how pretty you are and making adorable little outfits and pretending your opinion has any relevance to anything.
For the record, I didn’t mean it in some grand scheme of super duper hyper relevance or whatever else; it was just with respect to the conversation at hand and, generally, the conversations they inject themselves into.
Considering it’s a public conversation on a public forum in a literal ‘Off-Topic Thread’, I’d say anyone participating is relevant with respect to the conversation at hand, and the very concept of ‘injecting yourself’ into public discourse is fallacious.
Okay.
