You mean the endless alts with no sign of activity for 10 years ? Or in your case, no sign of ever having logged in at all. What would these people who have barely discovered the ‘Undock’ button once in 10 years even know about the game that would warrant them making any useful comment ?
It’s just another alt with zero indication of ever having logged in and played the game. He’s never done ganking, or ever even experienced it…..yet somehow he is an expert on the subject !
there is no end to the hearsay of this question cuase like me most if not all of them post from an alt. so there is no evidence that the people posting dont have experience in the game or that they dont undock. so you can go back and forth on this if you want but im not going to.
never said i was an expert, i just know whats right and whats wrong in my eyes and i had an idea but having a suggestion on game change some how makes you mad, thats ok be mad
Well…isn’t it odd how all the people who actually log in and PLAY the game on a regular basis have consistent appearances under chars that have demonstrably played the game regularly……whilst all the whiners log in under chars that have either never undocked or not done so in 5 or 10 years.
How is it that only the whiners need to ‘hide my main’ ? Or is it not more eminently likely that they are posting under alts that have done sod all for the simple reason that they have done sod all !
no body is whining but you, having ideas is not whining or crying.
Seems rather harsh for only -2.
You do realize that doing stuff in lowsec affects your sec status too, right? It’s not just a gank-o-meter.
Congratulations, you’ve just invented -5 sec status.
Congratulations, you’ve just invented the faction police.
Awesome, so now any new player could be a spy alt who’s going to start a smartbomb party at Jita and get you wardecced. There’s a reason for the war eligibility changes.
the original poster made the same comment on these suggestions being too harsh, and a discussion was had about that with other ideas on what could be adjusted.
yea if sec status effected your docking with them in empire their establishments in non empire would be counted as well. and to the other things that effect the status well, we were talking about high sec ganking and suggestions on what people thought, if we taking into account other actions i guess my answer to that would be the typical answer given to anyone who questions something like that and just be “oh well, figure out how to be a criminal in a better way” any implementation on anything especially the half thought up ideas ive come up with would take major tweaking but tahts for the game maker people to figure out
thanks, im glad you appreciate it the reinvention
isnt that what they are suppose to be?
again, just like we get a warning if someone declares war you would know ahead of time, and it seems people are perfectly fine with greifing and cause headaches for people unless its headaches for them so this would just be another “way to play the game”
Why the hell would a Hulk be destroyed by only 5 Catalysts? It should take way more than that.
Just for fun! I don’t have my own Hulk outfitted like this, but I wanted to play with the simulator:
No implants needed.

Then you are in company with all those other “ganking needs to be fixed” people. None of them has actually any idea how to run that business professionally.
You all just see those 20 seconds when the kill happens. You totally ignore the fact that it is one thing to just throw away 5 Catalysts one time and then move on with your business, but something entirely different to set up a logistics chain that constantly supplies you with new ships, people produce those ships to minimize costs, they haul those ships to the staging stations. They fit the ships, people maintain buy- and sell-orders to get the equipment cheaply and sell the loot profitable. Chars need to rotate to lowsec to exchange tags. Scouts and Scanners need to spend hours looking for attractive targets. In belts, other chars need to make good warpins.
And.. and and… there is SO much more attached to running such a business professionally or just doing one gank once in a while. And while a group of people spend time and effort to actually professionalize, solving all problems on the way, you people just bathe in ignorance and just demand “punishments”.
The reason why gankers win most of the time is NOT that there is a design issue or there is any kind of problem. The reason is that they act professionally while their targets do not.
Guys, Gals.
Some of you are taking this from a Vastly more producting High-Sec Ganking thread to just merely slightly more productive. Let’s simmer down some and have meaningful conversation. Please.
Thank you.
yes please
i get 57,685 ehp on that fit, which would be about 5 catalysts in a .5 system i believe
You should train Thermodynamics to level 5. I get 72,136 EHP when I overheat the shields.
Also, that’s SOLO. No one should ever fly a Hulk Solo. If you combine that with an Orca, you’ll get shield buffs, remote shield repair, and 2 heavy shield rep drones.
Add all of that to 72,136 EHP and you’re around 90,000 shields and getting massive shield repair.
It is a Hulk that cannot be ganked.
Sounds like enough HP to not get easily killed by some stranger that just comes along to blow you up.
The moment you notice 5-6 unknown chars simultaneously entering your system you should already align out and hit the Dscan for a few seconds to see if those newcomers are maybe coming close to your position with ships that could possibly endanger you. And if they do, you just warp out.
Pay attention to your environment and a group of gankers will have a very hard time to sneak up on you unnoticed.
If it’s a powerful squad, the Hulk can hide inside the Orca’s Maintenance Bay. No warpout needed. It’s why I don’t fly Hulks solo.
I am entitled to whine because unlike you I actually play the game regularly and have experience of it. You guys ‘have ideas’ when most of the time you have zero experience of the thing you are having an idea about. You are like people who have never driven a car…’having ideas’ about improvements.
Most of you anti-gankers have never either ganked or been ganked….yet you come on here and ‘have ideas’ as if you knew what you were talking about.
What is your ‘productive’ conversation hoping to ‘produce’ ? The anti-gank whiners add precisely nothing to the game, or to any conversation. There really isn’t anything to discuss, as most of their points are based on nonsense claims and untruths. And there’s already been 316,786 posts demonstrating what nonsense their posts are. I doubt whether after years of that, they are suddenly going to spout something either truthful or meaningful.
My problem with this whole thing, and why I decided to make this thread; assuming any of these angry folks are actually new players, and not just bitter vets that are bored. They are being afforded a Very generous learning opportunity, and they choose not to take it for what it is.
They get angry, they call names, they threaten, but they do not show any gratitude for learning a valuable lesson. Vague comments that are essentially just “prevent me from losing my ship to laziness” have no constructive value at all.
I would like to Thank the few people that have shared their ideas concerning this issue. While I am not able to change anything, this has given me some insight to the mentality of people that are willing to engage in good faith, as well as the mentality behind the ones that refuse to.
Absolutely true! “We hate ganking because there’s no way to survive or avoid it!”
100 posts on how to avoid and survive ganking
“See? Ganking is too easy and there’s no proof of surviving it!”
