Vastly more productive High-Sec Ganking thread

i do play regularly, have been since around 09. wait a darn tootin minute “entitled”, you are entitled to nothing over anyone else, stop feeling special.

again thats ok to do. if i didnt drive a car but while walking on the side walk people kept running me over, i would think that maybe something should change. you on the other hand would just say “get out the way”. when people come together to discuss an issue and you just offer no input other than dismissal you are the problem. i believe you are afraid of change to a small part of the game that you think would ruin how you play. thats a concern yes, but if your answers were to be turned around i would say something along the lines of “ well you have to get get experience in another facet of the game then” but i havent.

im not anti gank i have been ganked, many many moons ago, lost everything i had in high sec. got evicted and was moving a freighter in high sec. i quit playing for a while as that stung and it was litterally everything i had accumulated over years of playing. but hey did i say ganking needs to be gone? nope, if you read up im actually ok with ganking being in the game. but there needs to be some kind of change i believe. thats what this discussion was on, if you dont like that thats fine.

You lost ‘everything accumulated over years’ in one gank ? What kind of sheer folly is that ? I mean, what right minded person transports everything in one ( probably poorly fitted ) hauler ?

This is why I don’t listen to the anti-gank whiners….because 99% of the time their loss is their own fault. Yet they blame it all on the game rather than themselves, and they just seek to carry on being silly with their ‘everything’ hauls and want the game changed to accommodate their folly.

As Glenduil pointed out…you guys had over 100 posts on how to avoid and survive ganking. Yet it was all just ignored. That’s not a ‘discussion’……its just one side whining endlessly because the only skill they ever trained up is Advanced Whining Level V. You never have any ‘ideas’ worth discussing….or that make any sense or are even based on a factual assessment of the game. It’s like trying to have an intellectual discussion with 5 year olds.

well i did, was a freighter and yup had cargo expanders on and it happened a very long time ago

you dont seem to listen at all, or comprehend much, im starting to think your an off shoot alt of that duur guy who trolls around. he not so smart either. no one blamed anything on anyone, you just fear a change i believe cause you probably not so good at anything else in the game outside of ganking maybe ? or is this the only form of game play that keeps you in the game ? but if youre not a ganker, then why does this discussion make your so angry ?

i dont belivie it was ignored, if gankers want it dead its going to die, telling people dont carry more then 1 bil isk worth of stuff, and this or that, while sound advice and will probably work a lot, there have been plenty of just empty freighter kills as well.

you have injected this skill to V, again youre the only one whining here.

i would say this thread is contrary to your statement, we just dont say anything you like or want to discuss so like a lvl V injected whiner you inject your worthless commentary to disrupt a perfectly ok discussion.

ya know, this has been something going through my mind every time i reply to you

And what did you learn? Hopefully it wasn’t just to not fit cargo expanders.

situational depending on where im at, but i learned a few things. i learned that there are bad people out there, who project their inadequacies in life into the game, using griefing to feel a sense of power they lack elsewhere. i learned to stay away from trade hubs. setting up sell orders close to high sec entries is less risky and just as if not more lucrative. someone once said after it happened that when it comes to hauling if you cant cloak you gonna choke. but yea

You missed the most important ones, don’t carry all your stuff in one ship! Only fly what you can afford!

yea that too

You only lose status for performing illegal actions. Just because you’re not in highsec doesn’t mean is suddenly becomes legal to ambush and pod people. Join FW if you want a wide range of targets to shoot at without dropping your sec status, or go to WH/Null where it’s a free for all.

Thats great. The whole point is to learn how to travel…not just safely, but correctly.

There are many bad people out there. Much like real life, right?

This is very inaccurate. The people that you speak of are simply playing the game as its intended to be played. You just said there are bad people out there…you just learned what bad people can do. In my opinion those lessons are good ones. You should actually thank those players for showing you just how cut throat eve can be, and learning some much needed info for next time.

You dont have to stay away from trade hubs. Youve already learned what can happen when you do it wrong. Take that experience to the next step and better fortify your hauler taking almost all the risk out of it. I personally love to travel to the trade hubs just for the glorious sights and lights. Its like traveling to the city in real life. I know theres some danger there…but im prepared for it.

Haha. thats a very wise statement. Take that advice and use it to your advantage. Make you a docking bookmark as well and youll never be ganked at any trade hub ever again.

mmhmm not inaccurate, this happened over 10 years ago and the people have gotten worse, id say its a pretty spot on assessment, but tomato potato ?

i like what im doing, i make more isk and get to play around with the market in different areas.

So, one incident 10 years ago got worse? Does that mean you didnt learn anything and you continued to misfit your haulers? I would guess that after all that time, the pirates probably knew you on a first name basis. I find it strange that so many of us have had one very terrible experience in this game and took that lesson and improved ourselves but you alone did not? I bet i can speak for many people here that those terrible experiences have never happened to us again……with many of them becoming the same terror that introduced them to it.

I sometimes look back on all my deaths ( null and wardecs ) and ill always appreciate the lessons those people gave me.

no ive died a lot in game, in many ways. how do you associate my saying the community is toxic which it is in my opinion, to holding onto some pixels going boom 10 years ago ? i think maybe you have some unresolved issues if thats what you take from my comment. seek help, might wanna try some water and yoga like that duur guy

You die a lot? Then why do you ignore fitting advice?

I associated it together because the ten year old ship that went boom was the reason why you called the eve community toxic……projecting their inadequacies and griefing you…or something to that effect. If i did fail to understand the correlation ( or yours ) between all your deaths…and how many ships youve lost over time, and the poeple doing it… then my apologies.

It seems to me that you just dont want to learn from your mistakes. Thats fine…everyone plays this game in their own little way. Your way?…..is to lose ships and blame people that are playing their way toxic.

I gotcha.

In the meantime….my only unresolved issue is i still love to play this game and be a witness to so many fabulous events and meeting so many awesome people in the game. Some people are complete savages in eve but i give them a flower as well for playing the game the way they want to.

I also dont do yoga…and i should drink more water….but id rather have a few good shots of bourbon by my side. Thanks for the advice.

:rose:

i said i “learned” how toxic people in this game can be from the way i lost my freighter. and over the years that hasnt gotten better. and i mentioned toxic as over the years in threads like this when people share what they think would be an improvement they are continually flamed for it and told they are a myriad of less than appealing things for simply trying to play the game the best they know how and coming to discuss a solution to their problems. which in my eyes is toxic, you can see it however you want to see it. the 10 year old ship was to the topic of learning, which was the question that was being asked me at the time.

yea you did, as any eve pilot, we have all lots ships over the years in many different ways, albeit experimenting with fits in pvp, bio break. real life pulling you away at the wrong moment. either way i accept your apology.

i learned, thats why i havent lost anohter freighter, but to comment this is false, ive blamed no one, saying that people who get off on others misfortune are toxic is more judgy not blame, what can i say, i have opinions when things happen.

fair enough, this is good

more water and yoga, anyway good night we talk more in the morning maybe.

Did you just respond to everyone?

its not input broadcasting, its just alt-tabbing through replies really fast.

Yes, he did. He obviously knew that some of it was a bit inaccurate, thats why he removed it.

No CCP took it down.
