Dislike the changes made in this patch in regards to ore availability seems your wanting to force passive players into line of fire for those that live for PvP… This does nothing for those seeking PvE just making harder for players to progress in taking source of income and making them put themselves at greater risk is not a good idea… Return some of the anominalies to medium areas say those of 0.5 sure make them fewer than they were but give us a chance to make some ISK… Plus I now have a whole load of bits of ore that I can no longer process (ie. less than 100) because of these changes now make the risk of acquiring them too expensive in losing ones ship to either prirates or those that seek to entertain themselves with PvP … This is not BALANCE this is a total NERF…
How do I get a refund for my existing game time?
I was afraid that is what they had done. So once you can hold an enemy system to 0 it will be impossible to get an anomalies, brilliant move ccp
Exciting! I can’t wait to find new content for EDENCOM side that CCP have definitely put in this patch but just didn’t mention in patch notes!
…and that is bad, how?
Step 6 : Roll back the entire so called update or give us back our subscription to Omega money back …
please give us the option for the old text or make this one shorter and darker it hurts to read it
Simple CCP decided to NERF it …
Or you know… Don’t give in to the loud voices of 20 people screaming in a game of hundreds of thousands.
If you want something reversed, producing objective logic to support it is actually a good idea, not just ranting about how it’s ruined the game.
An option we should be given:
Suppress music while docked in station
Instead of just forcing that on everyone, including the maaany people we know to enjoy the empire BGM
I can’t see the text very well on a right-click. CCP You call this in the notes: " Improved the method used to render text font in client." This was not an improvement this prevents me from playing at a reasonable resolution. We are not all 20 something with 20/20 eyesight. Hope you fix it soon.
Yeah, if only us middle age guys could make out what it says lol. Increase the font size please.
If management thinks they can push PVE players into becoming PVP target practice, then they need to do more psychology homework. PVE players are here playing the game because they have an environment where they can avoid the PVP players to an acceptable degree. Changing the environment doesn’t change the core personality of PVE players. They won’t ‘adapt’ to being pushed towards the PVP players. They will just find a new game that fills what they used to have here. Their core nature can’t be pushed to adapt, in a game that they don’t have to play.
Hope I’m in right place. Ever since the Update it overheats my MSI Laptop hot enough to shut it down. First time I noticed it it was over 180! This is a 4 month old top line MSI i9, 64 gig ram, 16 core, GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q 8GB.
Nothing else over heats it. just when I turn EVE On it over heats in about 10 minuets. Just thought I would let you know. FYI: If I turn all graphics on low it wont over heat.
@Thor_Aollon Well there is a new option coming soon™. On SiSi right now, you can test out removing all 3d objects in space, effectively turning EVE Online into spreadsheets online just about.
This whole fiasco reminds me of Wizards almost singlehandedly destroying MTG:Online (MTGO). When MTGO was first developed, Wizards outsourced the programming of it to Leaping Lizards, who did an excellent job. Then somehow, the gamers at Wizards got the hairbrained idea that they could program, so they let go Leaping Lizards and nearly killed the game. There were some many functionalities in the original game, but those were taken offline for YEARS because of Wizards ineptness.
I’ve only been playing EVE for about 5 months and this ‘update’ is about as professionally managed as Wizards did about 18 years ago. Yep, my hat’s off to you, CCP. Congrats on a job well done (sarcasm).
+1 Font is terrible. Really need to concentrate to read things in bold or bright white. The description for the new stars took me at least 8 tries to get through and had to keep backing up.
A simple change to the zero so that it doesn’t look like an O would be fine; this particular change is extremely difficult.
Something that doesn’t seem to have gotten touched - the bottom of the capacitor speed indicator. That is still very clearly 0.0 m/s right now as I sit in space cloaked. I can read that without even thinking. The system name in giant bold print in the top left, honestly have to concentrate on it.
*edited to say left not right
computer games are invented so that a person has an additional opportunity to relax from everyday routine… the average age of EVE players is high enough that I can speak for all players… with a new font, my eyes cannot relax in any way and after 10 minutes of play they begin to get sick… thank you very much for a game, but I will no longer pay for game time, I have been playing since 2006 - maybe this entertainment is no longer for me
excuse me for the google translation
The typography (chat channels, on screen text, overview etc) is much more readable for what it’s worth.
This is not actually sarcastic. Really.
Given what a total cock up the rest of the patch is, especially the Resource Distribution Update component it really could be, but to be fair and to give credit where it’s due, you definitely improved the typography with this one CCP.
Whoop whoop!
That “Ship exterior view is disabled” message box needs to be configurable. It clashes with a centered, top-aligned HUD. I want to move it or close it. Or both.
