Have you tested this against NPCs or only players, or are you assuming, based on the patch notes?

EVE Online can handle 2000 people in Jita spamming Hypernet links constantly. Iâm sure it can handle people pressing F a couple of times.
The difference being that Jita is on a dedicated separate beefed up node normally only reserved for large fleet fights. All other systems share normal nodes.
I mean, i know what you guys are implying. âPressing F is gonna cause so much server strain that EVE is going to crash, you should revert the change!â

So Drone Assist, something that was not mentioned in the patchnotes, is supposed to now do literally nothing against npcs? Is this intended behavior and players were not notified or is this a bug that hasnât been updated on the known issues list yet?
At this point it seems that CCP is deciding if they want to make it a feature.
It has been tested. Iâve already stated that I donât know about PvP, that my experience is in PvE.
The patch notes say they are changing the behaviour of aggressive set drones, and says nothing about a change of assist behaviour for drones, or to drones that are set to passive. Yet behaviour for passive assisted drones has changed - so, thereâs either a bug, or itâs an uncommunicated but intentional change.
There is no assumption here. The behaviour has changed, and that change is not documented.
If by which you mean that drones set to aggressive basically behave as if theyâre set to passive in a PvE context, yes, itâs working, and I actually have very little issue with that.
What I have issue with is that the âassistâ behaviour of drones (which had nothing to do with them set to aggressive, we in-fact intentionally set them to passive. so that they require manual direction to a target) has changed in a way that has in no way been documented by CCP or communicated as being intentional.
I strongly suspect that when changing the behaviour for aggressive-set drones, theyâve inadvertently changed the behaviour of passive-set assisted drones. What needs to be established now is whether it will stay that way.
PvP behaviour was not meant to have changed. If it has, document the specific tests youâve done to show that, and provide that info - it would mean more has gone wrong.
Is it intentional that the word Scan Range was removed from below the range slider?
They donât seem to have thought about it very long or they would have limited the impact to AFK players by, for example, only breaking the drones when a player doesnât attack anything for X minutes or something. Identifying which players are, and are not, actively interacting with the client wouldnât be hard.
Same thing on my end. Every system I visited has had a âfakeâ signature that disappeared after first scan.
Everybody so busy bitching about the drone changes weâre not even going to mention that banning new players from setting Jita as home station is just a bad gameplay change that hurts new only new players.
Imagine spending 3 months âupgradingâ a trade hub and as soon as the project is finished it loses functionality.

If I understand correctly, in a system between 0.0 and -0.5 there shodul be two ore signatures containing arkonor and bistot.
It is not the case, there is just one.
