Version 20.03 - General Feedback

Another patch, another failure to SEED THE MARKET

This is becoming a constant issue.

Second Tuesday of the month is major Release/Patch day and they had already announced that these updates were coming

I havenā€™t looked yet, but can you actually make the Neocom as small as you want again?

What does a patch tuesday have to do with CCP not announcing big patches any longer? Patch Tuesday has been a thing since forever, but CCP used to announce big patches well before release with exact release date and notification for potentially extended DT.

REDNES

nope, still ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–

The battleship changes are welcomed but the focus for pve BS is shifting more and more to shield fits and ship with these changes. Regen or extender fits gain more EHP (which was the plan so thatā€™s fine) but ALSO more regen because of it thus increasing their tank, making it easier to tank and/or requiring less slots for their tank meaning they get more options.

I really donā€™t think a Rattlesnake needs to be buffed further and that also goes for other shield options where, especially with Nirvana implants, they can get a really good ehp/s tank while also getting very high EHP. Result is that armour BS, which are already not favoured, are falling behind more and more while also becoming the more obvious gank targets.

Like I said, the changes are nice but there are some side effects which Iā€™m not sure Iā€™d agree with.

This sneaky way of nerfing gas compression - 2nd bottleneck in new economy after PI is weird - we donā€™t even get the numbers of how much the decompression will cost loss wise, just the messages about 5% reduction from skill and bonuses to stations. Can we get any information on what the baseline loss is for decompressing gas?

Nerfing gas compression? How can something that did not yet exist be nerfed?

It is introduced together with a decompression loss based on skills, similar to how refining compressed ores into their workable material (minerals) also has a loss based on skills.

And you even have the option to ignore all gas decompression loss by hauling the uncompressed gas, which isnā€™t possible for ores.

I donā€™t see in any way how the gas change is a nerf compared to the previous situation, except if you made money hauling gas.

When will the building changes be added?

And where are the skillsbooks to be able to use these new modules?

These changes to crab beacons will not change anything. Remove them from the map or continue on with no one giving a ā– ā– ā– ā–  about them. The risk to reward is far too much on favor of the hunter.

This surgical strike nerfs half revert is a small step to get EVE to a right direction.
Donā€™t get me wrong. Most of your changes made in recent few years, your detrimental attitude toward the community and the arrogance on your own product - you went so far as to collaborate with absurd TV show, damaged the lore forever in irreparable way - is demoralizing me.
Please contemplate why the eve has last 18 years so far if you really wish to see the next decade.

Theyve been available in ORE LP

You can either go out to Outer Ring and buy them with ORE LP
or
You can pay scalper prices for them on the market
or
You can wait for CCP to get their act together and let them be bought from the skill sheet

If you armor tank a PVE ship then you are just dumb. Shield tank is better for pve and armor tank is better for pvp. Really the only PVE ships that should be armor tanked are the ships that get active bonuses to armor reppers. Armor tank can be done, but shield is just so much better for pve.
PVP you go armor tank because you want mid slots for ewar/tackle. So who really gives a flying fck about the unbalanced PVE side of these changes. It doesnā€™t really matter that much to begin with.

CCP announced that they are reverting their idea of loss on compression, so they introduced a new mechanic to have a loss on a material that is currently one of the bottlenecks for production.

Thing is, this is not equal to ore compression - you have no difference in reprocessing or ore when it is in the compressed and not compressed. Gas on the other hand gives us the long awaited compression but with the disadvantage that you probably wonā€™t be able to use compressed gas in reactions, but will have to

  1. decompress loosing some of it and
  2. have a reprocessing station ready to do so, adding yet another step to do this if you want to have a reaction lab, further limiting the possibility of people to contribute to industry and economy in general unless they are a part of a big alliance that holds LS/NS space and can have a tatara for decompression + reactions or have to haul back and forth into a LS reaction lab from a decompression station adding yet another step to the process.
It is announced as a quality of life thing but adds a new material sink for big production and hauling as well as another layer of tedium to production which has been hit with new materials, modules, spiking prices because of lack of raw mats such as gas.

All true. But the you have an option now. Continue as before or pay a bit in loss for easier logistics. Itā€™s up to every player to decide what is best for them.

Melted icebelt-signature didnā€™t disappear, why problem comes again? who wants?

While true you also do not loose material when reprocessing gas. So by that logic you should either need to refine gas at a loss or remove refining from the game altogether. Acting like Gas shouldnā€™t have loss anywhere just because it isnā€™t in the exact function ore did is silly.

How do you nerf something that didnā€™t exist?

yes thatā€™s what I had heard, but Iā€™m in ore station, and in LP they are no longer there
