Funniest looking capsule I ever did see…
FPS cut in half, Takes twice as long to dock/undock from stations. This update is absolute CRAP. Already had graphics as low as I dared. let us turn off these graphics updates, Especially the dock/undock animations
It’s pretty.
But it’s buggy, it’s costing system performance and it’s pointless. And on my system, there’s just no way I should need to turn settings down to have it run acceptably.
I’m all for pretty, but not at the expense of the others. This never should have made it to release until the bugs and performance issues were sorted out.
So… everything up to battlecruisers gets a corp and alliance emblem, even dreads do get it, but battleships were left out? like… seriously? CCP, go and finish the job, give ALL ships those emblems.
I also agree with people which say this new docking and undocking symbol is annoying… because it is. having a smaller and much quieter notification would be far better.
The flickering of lights inside stations (like Jita 4-4) is also worse than ever. It also happens outside of large structures (like Keepstars), may also happen with smaller structures.
It’s enough that I can see it giving epileptics trouble…
I5-11400, 3060 Ti. Played at a resolution of 3103x2114 at max graphics settings. In 2 windows. The load and temperature on the video card and CPU did not exceed 60 C. Now it rises to 90 only on structures.
I drew conclusions - play on a reduced schedule or do business on structures with a view of the structure from space. Thanks to the SSR, anyway, now I will not see the beauty of space in 4k or I will not see your stations from the inside. Great job.
Dunno why, but my RTX2070 likes the new updates. Admittedly I had to turn ambient occlusion down to medium and disable anti-aliasing but I had to do that before when running multiple accounts.
I used to get absolutely horrible glitching and severe frame-rate drops on my first undock…that has definitely improved. The station/stargate flickering is still an issue but, all in all, I think things are heading in a good direction.
Tried that too. Tell me if you find out how.
Looks like CCP’s memory of Incarna has faded away…
A ridiculously massive update and all of it is good stuff, also aimed at making the game less… spreadsheety. Love it!
A few things though:
- the docking thing, while kinda cool, is a bit much
- perhaps have those new graphics settings off as of standard, where people have the choice of enabling it. As it is now you’ll just have incompetent gamers, who didn’t actually read the patch notes, cry and whine about them fpses spewing the usual vitriol.
Faction Warfare is looking to be great, thank you CCP.
However, to provide an optimal FW experience for those dedicated to it, it would be great to go the extra mile and prevent neutral pirates from being able to use navy ships and/or prevent them from entering plexes at all with them, if not FW alligned.
It will remove a lot of problems seeing fleets of pirates using navy ships and reaping their benefits without doing the work for them …
And just being an overall nuisance for those that do put the work.
Thanks.
How do you disable the docking/undocking camera movements? It used to be possible to disable this dizzying experience. Thanks much!
No, We gotta Pirate in what ships we want.
There is Always other Elements in War, not just 2 sides fighting.
To follow up on my question, having tested the Heraldry thing - do missions come up later that offer more than 2500 EM?
At the moment it looks like if you want a capital emblem on one of your caps you need to just put your cap pilot for a week into a station and then every day buy a ship off the market and give it to the agent. Given cap emblem cost 18k EM, you need to be doing that for a week.
you can pirate all you want in navy ships, but just not inside our plexes, where we work to get those said navy ships you use lol …
So, this is a regression, since the option is clearly being ignored and flipping and resetting it does not affect the animation (always played).
Was it really necessary to increase the size of the skin buttons in the ship preview window by 500% or so?
Yes, because you must not fatfinger skins. And on top of it, you also need to see less skin icon and more empty space because that makes the UI better. Clearly.
