Version 22.02 - Revenant - General Feedback

“Finally, we are improving the speed of Excavators”

I felt a brief moment of joy thinking you had reduced cycle times for us. Then crushed to find out you are talking about velocity :sob:

Just give put our damn mining back to the way it was before you completey screwed it up.

It’s very simple. Easier OR more ore per cycle OR shorter cycle times to mine means more ships made, means more destruction, means more PvP for those who want it.

People are much more likely to PvP when ships don’t cost 80 gillion dollars a piece. If my hulk was 150 million instead of 300 don’t you think I’d be much more likely to mine in areas more dangerous thus providing content for pvp?

Get rid of the damn waste mechanic at least.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk

are you actually sure what you are talking about…“taking care” ??? lmao

they dont take care - they make it a tedious have-to-do-space. 1209837529084357 jobs just to keep the systems “running”. i mean…we are lucky - we have no temperate and no ice planet - only 2 lava - and they are annoying enough. but we know others who have 3 temperates xD - they are crying and cursing xD

btw - the pvp idea for null

if you earn your isk with a certain casualness - you spend it with a certain casualness.
thats why there will be no better pvp in null - if possible there will be ant vs shoe. no need to waste more time than neccessary to run and maintain systems.

Stop with giving pity drones in place something actually meaningful. Ashimmu and cruor. just give them an extra gun already.

You have not missed a thing. This is the new, improved experience.

Maybe I’m missing some vital detail but why is having 8 targets instead of 6 on a barge/exhumer a QoL improvement when I only have 2 Strip Miners? Is this some Black Friday marketing gimmick or what’s the story here?

They wanted to look like they had done something for miners without actually doing anything for miners.

Do you guys ever plan to address the fact that Pirate BPCs are wholly worthless? Pirate BS BPCs routinely go for ~30m and are generally seen as just a bad drop whereas they used to have some value. With the introduction of the Net Resonators it didn’t really help prices and nowadays to just build a vindi in a sotiyo is over 1.4b. Cynabal/Ashimmu BPCs were going for as little as 5m/U because they just aren’t worth producing.

Not a miner, but as a fellow ship-nerf sufferer - you get my vote.

where is the requirements tab in the new ship info window?

When I look in the skills section of this ghastly new window I only see mastery levels.

You are able to queue up more rocks and/or target rats without unlocking the rocks you had in the queue. I usually see 5-6 rats come in and can keep the two rocks I’m mining.

On the same thought, why did the venture, as a mining vessel, not get an increase in target count as did the other mining vessels?

Hi!

I dont like the new ship info window. What is good: all fitting info into 1 tab - this is the only realy good change for me. Maybe in the attributes we can read align time and few things, not a bad idea but not relevant, since skills effect these at the end.

What i REALY dont like, is the onside tab change! Maybe it looks good, but much less effective. I would like it back on the top, instantly clickable, as it was! Much more productive!

In SkinR, what about adding 2 auxiliary options on Detailing Slot ? Faction and Special.

Faction On/Off

Remove the pré-existing paterns on Pirate and Navy ships to let standard details be free.
exemple :
Amarr Empire - tech 1 to faction broke details based style.
Blood Raider Covenant - primary and secondary slots are just patern.

Special On/Off

Force or remove specific details to the color choice.
exemple :
Coercer Navy Issue - top dark part.
Gila - white and yellow details.
Venture - yellow details.

Also skills info tab: its messy, takes much more effort to see what i need. The previous design was much more easier to understand! The current design for items, its so much better, you can see everything you need in a compact mode! Skill tree, time, pregress, in a well seperated view. Your new design removed the estimated time for skills to learn, did you notice that? Open an item requirements window and a ship one.

Because it’s a Venture…

I really like the changes on the last patch, especially the little things. A lot make sense .
It’s the little things that count.

Regarding balancing :mage: :

I like that you buffed ashimmu by making it more versatile instead of making it plain more powerful.
Cruor has more DPS but also more versatility.
Although, maybe buffing them more, to nerf them after, would be better. I’m not sure this will actually be enough ? Its better to overshot, then you can find the intermediate balance, rather than try to approach with care, and you may never reach a balanced state.

I also like that the vengeance has less DPS than hawk, nice touch.

Also the agility reversal to proc/skiff is nice. Adding a mid slot without adding fitting is a choice, but IMO they don’t need more fitting.

If you drag a ship from the direction finder to the chat that is not visible in the overview panel and send it, then its identifier is not visible in the sent message. This needs to be fixed. The identifier must be visible in the sent message.

A Wormholer requests regarding Dens:

1.) Make the Reo timer 4 hours ± 2 hours. Let small fleets engage with these and still get ROI at 20 mil a pop.
2.) Do the Dens give structure alerts to the owners? If not, they should.
3.) Would be nice if we could pick them up like Mobile Depots.

Turns out the new WH mini drifter SUUUCKS.

It seems to be bugged if trying to spawn it with more than one character in site. But it still has at least 3 warp core strength and warps off at around 15% armor HP.

Additionally, it then despawns on the WH it’s warped to no matter what you do.
