CCP is removing players other than bot and rmt dealers
If I were a CCP dev I would be working on a native linux port instead of stealing stuff from gate campers in low sec.

I am not doing ratting with ishtar or marauder, but I do mine with siege booster. This update is just another hammer to our miserable life of miner. How do I even warp out with 7 second align warp ship, not to mention about the orca/porpoise that still in siege. Fitting warp core stab just reduce drone bandwidth by half, which also not enough to defense mine mining ship against belt rat.
Where are you mining with a npc dread??

Ive never encounted npc dreads while mining in belts
they also spawn in havens and sanctums. basically instablap marauders and anything reasonable. tempted to try haw dreads in sanctums. wonāt kill the dread, but itāll live till a cap-fit dread can warp in.
Iāve mine since 2020, yes they spawn in NPC null + system that have belt. They usually warp in BS and occasionally, a pirate dread.

After some more deliberation about this feature, I actually came to like the feature. If it disappeared automatically when I leave the anom and have not attacked an NPC in it, it could be a neat little asset.
We used to be able to see calculated attributes of a simulated fit too, which doesnāt seem to be the case anymore. You have to be in a ship to see calculated attributes.
No. The newest method awarding 7 days Omega time and and free 10 PLEX was not a mistake nor is it a NES bug.
I give credit to CCP listening to the players what had happened last year and is still a problem happening in EVE. I will agree this is not a good solution but it shows effort to resolve what had happened in the past.
Last year when 7 days of free Omega was given to everyone, a vast number of Alphas suddenly turned into gate camping pirates and miner killers for two weeks. Two weeks long because some players had waited to the last day to redeem their Omega reward. Players in streams and posting were raging about it. The 45 system jump between Amarr and Jita had turned into a nasty gauntlet with the new Omegas. Right now the haulers and freighter pilots who like to do courier services are still laying low since the Crimson Harvest event had started. Available packages needing hauling at the market hubs is 4X above their normal.
A second reason for the new method is to leave a transaction trail for the CCP Security Team easier to flag potential large scale Alpha farming activity and bots. You may had noticed the 2-1 Skill Extractor sell and the 7 day Omega were overlapping for two days. CCP keeps good records who and what is bought and sold in this game just like the banks do tracking your spending and locations via your phone usage and card swipes.

No extra time for this daily login campaign? Why would there be, itās not as if this is a major expansion or anything. How long did Crimson Harvestās last?
Since they managed to make the 10 PLEX only available to Omegas, they could have also just made the 7 days Omega available for Omegas. The way they solved it only causes mild annoyance because of all the extra clicks in the terribly slow NES.
Thereās always a transaction history for any NES transaction. Thereās no reason to make Omegas jump through all these hoops only to prevent Alpha hacks.
Patch notes will rain untill morale improves and everyone forgets what the 1st bad patch notes were.

The skillbooks can be redeemed with either Atavum or resources from the Mercenary Den - as that ecosystem develops, the player market will develop. This is similar with how other specialized skills are introduced in the game. The Daily Login reward on Day 8 also includes a Deathless expert system which gives you access to those skills (temporarily), but can give you the opportunity to test while the ecosystem develops a bit more.
