Same for me also running IntelR graphics card. All 3 my characters are undocked. Got a black screen after undocking. Cleared cache, lowered graphics verified game files rebooted my laptop but nothing worked. Hopefully after DT tomorrow it will be fixed. I was in contact with support and they just informed me they are aware of it and working on it, they then provided me with this forum link.
Same here, pretty frustrating. Checked all drivers, reinstalled the game twice, checked DX, cleared cache, reduced settings. Just floating in a pod in Jita…
Does any know if the issue regarding Intel pc’s have been sorted out or do you still get the black screen?
It doesn’t apear to be sorted. I’ve been running updates across 2 windows machines, I’ve emptied caches, reset settings etc, as well as completely uninstalled EVE on both machines, and it’s still not working. Only way I was able to get safely back to a station was by running the client on a slow old Mac!
Same issue here. Intel laptop (soon my pc will be online again hopefully…), game shows me black screen after I undocked. 2 character undocked and frozen.
Things to add here:
- the one character which was docked were not affected before, only after undocking
- loglite says it cannot create dx11 shaders / it cannot access them somehow
- these error went into a constant loop, it also mentions vertex
- dx12 version is selected, but ingame the fps meter says it is dx11 platform still (so the change in the launcher does not affect the game)
- shaders deleted, game already reinstalled (full client) - problem still persist
- settings turned to minimum - problem still persist
- tried to force dx12 as a run param - nothing happened, problem still persist, and the fps meter told me it is still dx11 platform
- there was no installation or update, neither windows neither the game side (i think) but the problem appeared.
Simply astounding.
There was an update yesterday at DT, that cause this. I play in full screen mode. it behaves like the game does not support full screen any more or it has an error and pops back into windows. when i click the tab on the taskbar, it goes into a loop and flashes red and i lose all window functions.
Hopefully it will be sorted out after DT today. Both my laptops run on Intel so no way for me to get into the game to dock again or play

Some users of onboard Intel GPUs were experiencing a black screen caused by the driver crashing. Changes have been made to try to work around this problem. Please file a bug report from within the launcher if you still experience a black screen issue after this patch.
I guess they are trying, but that leads to an unannounced long DT. This company, really.

Damn I will only be in front of my laptop in 5hours time but want to see if mine is fixed as well. Atleast it looks like most Intel playersare playing again. Can’t wait to get home and test. Crossing my fingers like mad lol. If only we could be rewarded with some sp for this issue. I know echoes gives free sp when they have bugs or long DT.
Problem fixed for me too. I will miss the 250 million isk blockade runner that got shot out from under me while I was looking at the black screen trying to figure out what the heck was going on . . but at least I still have my pod. . .
I see all these fixes to graphics, when are you going to fix the issue with Exequror Contracts? You should have several bug reports already and this is going on 5 months now. You can not find them or the ENI’s on contract by name search. You have to look for a module. I was unable to sell any because people could not find them. Do you have an ETA?
I was getting the issue yesterday every time I tried logging back in after undocking. After the DT today, I was able to log in and see the screen.
I was completing the distribution mission I started yesterday for the 50 LP goal (of course there’s no 50 LP goal today), and between jumps I was writing a response to my support ticket. But after one of the jumps completed when I was switching back to the eve screen, I got the issue. Killed eve file.exe with Task Manager. Re-logged in, but this time the issue did not persist.
I tried reproducing it on the way back home, but it didn’t happen again. So the situation is better, but not 100%
Submit a support ticket for it. You should get everything that was destroyed; although probably not anything that was dropped as loot, due to possible item duplication. So not a perfect fix, and not guaranteed, but definitely worth a try.
