Found a dangerous bug: Local chat is not updating the member list. It showed only myself. I went to lowsec and was almost killed by someone who spontaneously landed on grid, despite not showing up in local. This happened in k-space. I went to another system, local showed nobody. After relogging, it showed 8 people. Don’t go to nullsec or lowsec, you will get killed by invisible people.
Edit: Or always use dscan, as if you were in a wormhole all the time.

I’ve completed mission 2, however I have reached a stuck state where Elias will not give me the next mission and it still shows Mission 2 as incomplete. I’ve relogged several times and even did stuff on another account and tried to come back.

Another little annoying “bug” or “feature”:

When I huff gas, and the gas enters my hold…….I hear the sound of rocks clattering. Was it really hard to take 5 seconds to record a can of energy drink being cracked open to simulate gas entering my hold?

It’s a shield booster bonus. I don’t know if you’ve fit one since, but the screenshots you posted in another thread had all hardeners in the mids, no shield boosters.

Paragon LP store is also absent - can’t buy corp/alliance logos.

After 20+ years, you’d think they wouldn’t still be so naive; software needs testing. You don’t test the software, you get bugs, “unintended functionality” and the whole gamut of other goodies to go along with it.

What’s really sad about it is they do have the ability to prevent this; they have a test server, they’re just scared to use it for some reason.

Things are no better on patch day now than they were 20 years ago.

No game has a lack of bugs on day 1. Especially as things become more complex. Be glad most can play the game.

well once we quit abusing the test servers and learning the meta etc.. then they may give it back, but until then..

How hard can it be to disable NPC spawns and Player Owned Structures on he test server?

So players can test Fits, ships, UI, visuals, souhd issues, maps, mining features. etc.

They would also have to disable pvp. Duel requests only. Part of the reason we can’t use the test server is because players were griefing others just trying to test things out in designated no-pvp zones. Among many other reasons. EVE players is why they closed access. You have only yourselves to blame…

Having said that, I hope they bring it back. Being able to use capital ships in high sec, carriers and dreads fighting the faction police was quite hilarious…

Whats happening with the forced window blur?? And can ccp ever reduce ram usage?? client on lowest graphics setting with no sound enabled costs 4GB…

Can you increase mouse drag sensitivity on map, please? Thanks <3

We cant use tesr servers because ccp want to cut costs. Nothing else

That’s what QUALITY TESTING is for. Not QA Testing in the deployment, but QA testing in the alpha versions of the features. And then they should implement these fixes before they deliver to production. Considering that something so elemental as “Not being able to build the signature ship of the expansion” has been lingering for 8 days at least (this topic was 8 days old before publication), it’s hilarious to say “all things have bugs just because”.

I have completed the first two parts of the fractured legacy epic arc. The mission board shows them completed. I requested the third and final mission “Shattered Legacy”. I received the instructions, set destination, warped to system and clicked warp to site. It takes me to the 1st mission location with the gate and agent communication instructs me to enter the mining area posing as miner. I still have the shattered catalyst as the opportunity and it still has the warp to site available. If you select warp to site again it doesn’t let you as external factors are preventing you to warp. Warped to a station, logged out the character and tried again with same result. I existed the game completely and tried again still same result.

Live servers and testing servers are not the same. It can work just fine in testing, but becomes borked in live. Programming is finicky, and sometimes things just work even though the coder doesn’t know how exactly. Which only becomes more prevalent as things become more complicated.

That’s not how testing works. Tests are done by QA specialists on a live build in a test environment. That’s how I learned how computer game testing works, because I work(ed) in this field for a time. At least when companies care about testing.
