And I have said this before. You have 10k active minds trying to break the game. CCP/FU-UK is always going to have a hard time beating them.
Edit; It’s an unfair battle.

I don’t think it’s a question of beating anything… This “expansion” has been closer to a patch. A rather rushed and untested patch. I don’t know what the Fall “expansion” plans are, but I sure hope they’re better than the Cradle of Snore.
Makes them $$$. It’s just one big cash grab while the game itself fads away to me anyway.
An EVE 2.0 would be nice! ![]()
But I don’t think they could balance it out any better?
Oh, you mean EVE Frontier? ![]()
Gawd no! ![]()
Just for new players…
Who I feel sorry for simply because they were misled into a game where the whole idea of the game was to screw with other players should have been kept a nitch game and have spent their energy on other games to fit the new market.
I really don’t think EVE has been like this for quite some time now.
What’s obvious is that this forum reveals the level of ignorance among gamers in 2026…
I previously pointed out that we shouldn’t expect a miracle from Fenris, the son of Loki, the god of mischief, lies, and cunning; see Norse mythology…
But there’s something even more subtle if we look at the small, very discreet red dot in the logo, located between FEN and RIS, or more precisely, look closely at the logo, between FEA and RIS!
Now, what exactly does the phrase Fea Ris refer to?
Quite simply, or even rather crudely depending on the language used:
So don’t expect anything more from this company; Simply enjoy EVE Online as it is, while adapting to FENRIS’s profit-driven nerfs, particularly by implementing your own buffs/counters in response, as a survival response to the publisher’s opposing signal.
In any case, barring a miracle, even EVE Frontier is gradually becoming a sham, as players will be unable to capitalize on their considerable in-game time in real life, unlike a true play-to-earn sandbox.
This is something FENRIS CREATION urgently needs to consider, especially while there’s still time after Cycle 6. The Otherwise, this version 2.0 of EVE Online, dubbed EVE Frontier, will inevitably lead to a massive flop for the gaming industry, especially considering what the competition is preparing, because they are perfectly aware of what players want and want in 2026 : “We will no longer be their cash cows!”…
So ! Tic Tac Tic Tac…
I think players are still being screwed with; just less and less by other players…
What does screwed with mean?
I was involved in a fight over a metenox the other day, I can’t remember the specifics, I think they blew ours up, we dropped on them, while theirs was still anchoring, there was a fight, spaceships exploded, we held the field for long enough to anchor a new one.
Was anyone screwing with anyone?
I think it’s open to interpretation.
I haven’t participated in this event yet, and I probably won’t. Are the limits per character there due to Fenris trying to prevent players from farming rewards? Or maybe their idea was to have players keep making new accounts, new alts, and buy SP and PLEX to field those alts for the event. It’s so nonsensical. Any kind of event where there is a limitation on how much I can contribute, is not interesting to me.
The new achievements/titles is to me a lot less likeable than the old activity tracker. Not singing the old tracker’s praises, it had problems and downsides, but it felt a LOT more polished and was easier to use. I’m NOT asking to bring it back - I’m just saying it feels as if the same idea was actually taken many steps backwards instead of being improved.
Old activity tracker:
New achievements:
The only thing the new achievements menu does better is that it doesn’t take up the full screen.
And this might be a silly - but it feels as if achievements would be easier to find in the Personal section of the Neocom… Paragon sections feels counter-intuitive to me.
i’ve seen some games with ever decreasing content, but eve is easily the worst provider of content i’ve seen.
It’s because it was left to players and, well - just as with nature, people slack. The term “blue donut” is well-earned.
I can confirm it, my friend, it’s completely absurd! You’re not missing anything!
As mentioned above, the now-defunct CCP is apparently totally incapable of producing truly new, innovative, and engaging content!
But this isn’t a recent phenomenon…
When you see that they’re still unable, in 2026, to provide us with a proper in-game alliance search engine, with a real alliance filtering tool, whether by system, activity type, etc., how can you expect them to truly impress us, or even wow us, with a truly badass expansion?
Even that, an alliance filtering tool—they don’t even understand what the benefit would be for either the players or themselves!
Apparently, the concept of customer loyalty is of absolutely no interest to them…
The now-defunct CCP has been acting selfishly, with complete disregard for all its players, for ages! They never listen to anything we’ve been telling them for years! The most regrettable thing is that EVE Online is going down the exact same path as World of Warcraft! It’s slowly sinking into oblivion against our will! Who would have thought?
In 2003, when the game was released, it was pure wonder… Today, it’s utter gloom: too much PLEX, too many alts, etc… I hope they react very quickly by refocusing on player expectations, and in the right direction, so that they can amaze us again, whether with EVE Online or EVE Frontier, I don’t care, but for goodness sake, they should do it!
Because only then might I pull out my VISA again, as I often did in the past!
A word to the wise…
Well, it made the game popular. Make of it as you wish.
I hear 2013 was CCP’s best year, so I’d say yeah - to a point anyway.
I liked it, participated in first days. But only frigate and destroyers. After 2 days it was not viable anymore as everyone was flying the strongest ship in the given rules and after that it wasn’t fun anymore. Sure you could try to fit something that counters that meta, but facing the same ship all the time wasn’t fun. And then CCP started forcing bigger hulls into the proving grounds, first cruisers, then battlecruisers and possibly even battleships. Which killed it imo.
