Very old Abaddon pulse fit for L4 Missions viable?

Cheers all,

I’m a returning vet and found this Abaddon in my highsec stash. Rest of my assets are not accessible since i lived in 0.0 and all my belongings are locked in asset Security until i earn enough to ransom it out.
I honestly can’t remember for what i used it for, but since it was located in highsec i guess Mission running…
Can i do L4 missions in it?
Most fits i found for the Abaddon rely on beam lasers and distance, but isk are tight now and i just would like to start earning some.

Every advice is welcome

Here’s the fit:

With a few tweaks it should work good enough. It’s a cap hungry beast for sure…

The tank is a bit on the low side for my taste. That’s why I would add a second AR for the harder missions. The fit below replaces a few things (very cheap) and should work for most missions.

I prefer the Reactive Hardener over the Damage Control. Most mission rats can only deal one or two different kinds of damage. And it has no stacking penalty, same as Damage Control.

You can also fit mission specific Armor Hardeners instead of the Multispectrums if needed.

The fact that you have T2 Lasers fitted tells me that you can use T2 ammo like Conflagration and Scorch. Especially Scorch is very nice because of its long range. The faction ammo is only used for better tracking if needed.

If you play a lot of missions against Angels, the damage type of lasers is very bad.

[Abaddon, Level 4]
Large I-a Enduring Armor Repairer
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Reactive Armor Hardener
Multispectrum Energized Membrane II
Multispectrum Energized Membrane II
Large I-a Enduring Armor Repairer

100MN Afterburner II
Tracking Computer II
Cap Recharger II
Large Compact Pb-Acid Cap Battery

Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II

Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Large Energy Discharge Elutriation I

Hornet II x5
Vespa II x5

Imperial Navy Multifrequency L x8
Optimal Range Script x1
Tracking Speed Script x1
Imperial Navy Radio L x8
Conflagration L x8
Scorch L x8

Once the ISK is flowing again, I would recommend to upgrade a few things:

[Abaddon, Lvl4 Faction]
Large Armor Repairer II
Heat Sink II
Imperial Navy Multispectrum Energized Membrane
Imperial Navy Multispectrum Energized Membrane
Reactive Armor Hardener
Heat Sink II
Large Armor Repairer II

100MN Afterburner II
Tracking Computer II
Imperial Navy Cap Recharger
Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery

Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II

Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Large Energy Discharge Elutriation II

Hornet II x5
Vespa II x5

Imperial Navy Multifrequency L x8
Optimal Range Script x1
Tracking Speed Script x1
Imperial Navy Radio L x8
Conflagration L x8
Scorch L x8

Go for it. What’s the worst that could happen?

  • Put a large microjumpdrive on it. If you get in trouble it can “blip” you 100km away.
  • Get scorch ammo.
  • Maybe keep the damage control on there at least for now until you re-familiarise yourself to thing

ccp loves returning players. Might as well see if maybe they’ll do something for you.

Thank you both for your advice, gonna give it a try

honestly Abaddon has good damage, but is outshined by Paladin in every way BUT PRICE for PVE and unironically i think abaddon requires more SP then paladin to fly because marader bonuses are to good and abaddon is a HOG on cap/fitting. But is the best amarr ship when it comes to STYLE!
(Navy Abaddon plz)

It’s why i love navy Armageddon, versatile ship, decent damage with Beams/ Cruise missiles / Sentries / range / dronebay / salvage / easier to fly.

I would take that ship to Amarr space and leave it there to do the Amarr L4 epic arc every 3 months.

Every mission except one is vs EM weak opponents, this will be perfect for that purpose

Except that the Sansha rats in the Amarr Epic Arc use Tracking Disruption, which can be a bit annoying for a turret boat.

This is my baby, refined over many hours. You can fly her, if you’re brave enough…

Switch to Tachyon beams.

Terrible advice since the Amarr arc is absolutely rife with Tracking Disruption. What you actually want for the Amarr Epic Arc is a missile and/or drone boat.
