Beginner with Amarr BS need help for fittting [resolved]

I just got my license to pilot BS ! I got the ISK to get and fit one, but I have little idea as to how fit it, and would like some help.
I’d rather use the Abaddon or the Apocalypse instead of the Armageddon
ANd since I’m “a bit poor” spare me from T2 or faction mods as much as possible ^^'
Thank you !

I’m really not a fan of vanilla Amarr battleships but you could try something like this:

It won’t do that well against anything but Blood/Sansha/Drones but it will at least hold its own there. The tank is thin, but you’re using the LMJD to control range and mitigate incoming damage in the first place. Damage is somewhat problematically low but it’s an Apoc so… there you go.

The Abaddon is frankly worse so don’t touch that. I haven’t seen a fit that truly makes that thing work (with the possible exception of a 7 gun tach setup, but it’s just not for me).

Without your skillsheet it is difficult to post a fit you can actually use. However that said the apocalypse with it’s better capacitor pool and tracking will better for you than the abaddon (which is a capacitor hungry monster). Especially with lower skill points.

Definitely a pulse apoc. Baddon doesn’t have the cap to keep a tank running.

Dual large armour repair. Mission specific hardeners. Couple heat sinks. Rest cap mods, and a tracking computer if you can manage.

Gotta disagree. Without T2 guns and Scorch pulse just doesn’t do the job. Beams at that point are much safer and can take advantage of the range an Apoc actually offers.

Having said that, decent fitting skills mean you’re not locked into mega beams. You could technically swing a tach fit based on the beam fit I already posted:

It’s surprisingly not bad. Damage is still meh (but better!) and range is now downright good. It’s a somewhat tight fit but if I had to fit T1 guns on a vanilla Amarr BS for missions I’m pretty sure this is what I’d do these days.

i think pulse abaddon can be fine t2 fit can have over 1000 dps with conflag and 750 with scorch
apoc is probably best for op though but i would take the abbadon personally assuming t2 guns

Apocs fitting makes beams difficult.

Op is low skill, low wallet.

after looking at more fits i would say go abbadon
apoc dps is just too low with t1 guns and abaddon gets better tank too
the tracking for apoc is nice but kinda pointless if the dps just sucks
heres what i came up with i tried to make it easy on fittings and wallet as possible

I’m just not an Abaddon fan. And yes, I’ve tried it. It’s slow as molasses (Apoc beats it by 100 m/s with T2 ABs on both), has anemic range without the optimal bonus, and caps itself out just running guns (smaller cap pool and longer base recharge compared to the Apoc). I downright hate the Apoc model and I’d still take one over another Abaddon. The only ship I’ve flown that I was more disappointed in was the Raven I let die on an LCO.

Please don’t use a cap booster. Especially with navy charges. You’re just throwing money away.

its just there for security its not like you would perma run it
i guess you can use lmjd instead

Thanks for your answers !
I can use Cap Boosters no problem, the 800 blueprint (original) is 5M and not hard to use and the 3k2 blueprint is 20M so I’ll get that later

@JC_Mieyli : Do I really have to get all those T2 parts ?

EDIT : yeah I’m low SP, I got 1.5M x)

well you could use faction and deadspace modules but theyre a lot more expensive
but with 1.5m sp im thinking you shouldnt get a bs yet
im guessing you want it for level 4s right

Level 4 security missions you mean ? yeah, actually we were already doing that with friends but all I had was a gnosis and I couldn’t sh!t damage compared to their battleships (we’re 3, a fourth guy will join) and I also had to warp out a lot due to the enemies BSs, now that I got an omega account, I thought to step it up

i would say dont rush into a bs and keep working on your core skills and stuff
the other thing is amarr ships tend to be a bit punishing on lower sp players
the t1 guns arent that great and they have fitting and cap issues
other factions might be a bit more forgiving with low sp
the other thing is if youre gonna try and solo level 4s its gonna be slow going with low sp
it might be more profitable to focus your training and stick to level 3s for a while for soloing and then just do level 4s with friends
you can probably train a pretty tanky bc so you can survive in level 4s without warping out but your damage still wont be great
but bcs have the added bonus of being able to fit a command burst which helps your friends

I’m not level 3 yet it’s my friends that are lvl 4 and we’re together when we do that so I’m not soloing lvl 4s before long.
We’ll also be able to do the missions faster and get more ISK once I get a correct battleship

okay so what level missions do you solo and what ships are you flying right now
getting into a bs isnt necessarily going to help your friends make more isk right now
and theres a few reasons why it might be wiser and more profitable to stick with a lower class of ship for now until you get your skills up more

lvl 2 solo, I use my Gnosis
