Vote on Niarja

Edited in some more text above. Just for you dude, just for you.

Why aren’t highsec people more enthusiastic over those changes? There will be new hotspots, routes you never flew before and areas that were labeled dead space now have to be crossed.

On the downside, you can no longer fly from jita to amarr in 10 jumps. The end.

If a minor inconvenience like that really brings tears to your level-4-eyes, uh boy.

Yes.
Why ? because if it’s null sec, ccp should allow bubbles, titans, cynos and supers.

This is a joke as none of this is allowed in niarja.

This is by design. The system is still HS. Just without Concord.

I thought this was a player driven story. CCP just maintains the structure of the universe. If people didn’t want Niarja to fall, they should have defended it more.

I’m getting back into the game after a 5 year hiatus so forgive me if I’m not understanding the Triglavian invasion but I have been following major events over these last five years.

Is there a way to take back the system or is the takeover permanent right now?

10j between jita and amarr was maybe little too short and good that changed. However, the HS route now earlier this week went through 2 triglavian invasions. And if I don’t remember incorrectly it was through 25j or soemthing with many 0.5s on the route. Which changes whole hauling and increases risk too much. Lets say if it was 15j jumps with maybe one more 0.5s neck in the route it was balanced and alright. 25j route with miltiple 0.5s and 2 triglavian invasions on route no. Also more the jumps more high risk there is for triglavian invasions.

What this will eventually cause is that more and more haulers will haul their stuff through wormholes and completely ignore k-space routes because much faster hauling times and way reduced risk.I bet gankers will love the fact that their targets go through holes that can ease ganking it also makes it more difficult as you need to find the holes to gank in before hand. Also haulers can just run in hole logoff and scan next hs static that is close to jita if not in hurry.

True, another complication -0.0s system that is not low sec nor null sec but something else.

Due to the fact that I actually know something about wormholes, I have no idea what you’re talking about.

It’s Trigsec, Trigs are new police, not concord. They kick concord out of the system, it’s not hard to get.
Bad standing with concord? concord kills you. bad standings with trigs, trigs kill you.
Only Trigs can easily be countered, unlike confuckingcord.

Yes, there a string of 0.5s, a route I have traveled frequently… with my alt in a Minmatar recon.
Smart haulers will prosper. Foolish haulers will feed the predators.

I do not have bad standing with triglavians, they still kill me.
I am positive to them +0.0 it shows on my info panel.

If they are still red to you then you need to gain more standing until they are white/grey, if you have not shot any EDENCOM ships yet then they are hostile by default.

Then this statement is false:

No, it’s not.

All competent players expect other players with standings of 0 to be hostile. The Triglavians clearly have the same concept of what constitutes bad standings.

Triglavians with good standing +0.0 shoot you on sight.
This is fact.

I dunno man, i have +5 with trigs, they pretty chill with me.
maybe +0.0000000000000001 is not enough, just a guess.

It’s not that and it’s not about Niarja alone. The jumps are very minor inconvenience, almost nonexistent for goods producers. Only for haulers. Haulers just travel and pass by. The main problem is that many independent or organised industrialists/miners loose access to their base of operation in hours:

  • ore & minerals
  • blueprints
  • produced goods
  • ships
  • citadels
  • etc.

Trigs are no problem too. You can have positive standing. It’s a security status that changes. You can’t make a living if you lost access to your assets and don’t have proper ships/skills like blockade runners to export goods from new null. Have you seen freighter exodus in Niarja just before it turned low-sec? Some people lost freighters not because they entered the conquered systems but because they wanted to escape with goods…too late.

Fun fact is that PvP in hi-sec is done on industrialists. Industrialists that have no interest in PvP at all and produce PvP goods which are used to kill them  Have you seen or heard about a real battle between PvP guys in hi-sec?

From who PvP folks buy ships, modules and ammo? From NPC traders? Maybe from null alts sitting in hi-sec at TTT? R4 ore was nerfed because it was in null or because it was in 0.5 and WH?

Some ppl enjoy game just because of crafting. It could be cool if the items which are produced had an owner’s plaques: “made by …” like other crafting games have.

It’d be hilarious to see a killmail: “John Doe killed by Warrior II made by John Doe.”

Some enjoy crafting, some mining, some do PvP, some do every bit of this. Now these first two in hi/low sec got kicked in balls by everyone else. What do you think they will do? Give you their stuff? Be enthusiastic about it? Fight off in indy ships with indy skills? Take on PvP with regular null army that does it every day in null?

You can always leave a system without problem, unless you use autopilot.

Just choose directly jump before you warp on the gate, instead of warp to.

Also if you want to evacuate stuff, you could always just put up a contract.
