Just a quick question for a returning player.
Why are some corporations exempt from war decs?
I have noticed this on some descriptions and in the info of some recruitment threads.

To become eligible for war, a corporation must have established its own structure.
If they do not have their own stations, they cannot declare war, nor can they be forced into a war.

Some bigger corps will create “holding corps” so that is where they will anchor structures, so that their main corp cannot be wardecced.

Because Wardecs were used by Veteran players to stomp Newbro Corps that couldn’t even remotely fight back into the dust over and over again. At some point CCP noticed masses of players leaving the game over this and stopped it.
Now you can have your own player corp more or less unharmed (except being ganked if you fly too blingy ships) as long as you reside on an NPC station in HS.

Corps beyond a certain size should be exempt from this exemption.
