there was a recent change to market PVP to stop people from making empty sell/buy orders to manipulate the market. it was an exploit and changed.
Why do I mention this? there is a war dec exploit for free week of kills.
A wardecca can manipulate free engagement of another player for a period of up to a week before paying the fee. (free kills for a week). then when they cannot pay they get another 24 hours.
There is no downside or risk for the wardecca for doing this nonsense.
Please can CCP fix this as a priority?
They need to pay to play this game upfront.
or they need to have a standing hit for not paying
or they all get suspect timers for the 24hours they could not pay.
You seem to be really confused about how the war system works (I’m going to assume because you’ve never launched your own war, and have only ever been a victim of wars launched against you by others).
What they need is to bring back the original wardec system. No risk free hiding in player corps, no structure safety for bears to avoid them by not anchoring anything, etc.
We need the return of privateers, orphanage, mbalm etc. Killing content is bad CCP!
Unless the corp join a alliance that was at war already.
If nothing else it would make sense on what the OP is rambling about with his limited understanding. We have had cases where a corp warps a freighter, while in warp to gate they join an alliance after the initial 24hour period. And surprise us by being flashy red on the other side. Fun for the whole family.
At first we called our scout alts idiots for not seeing a war target freighter coming in. until we realize what happened.

100mil was paid to start a war on the 7th which then lasts a week. On the 13th you got an email stating that the bill was not paid it will cycle down in the next 24 hours. Meaning according to your post at 14/01/2022.
Where exactly is the free week? 100mil was paid for a week, that is exatcly how long it is lasting because the war bill was not paid. If they decided to pay the bill for 100mil they can continue the war indefinitely as long as they keep paying the 100mil upfront for the next week.
When you go to declare war, you pay 100 mil to start a war, then it is a week long war. if you don’t make a payment by the end of the week, the war will be declared over due to lack of another payment.
