arent our characters and the npc’s the aliens in this galaxy?
Correct.
The EvE gate brought the colonists who Manifest Destiny’d across New Eden.
Probably killed all the aliens.
or kirk’d them.
Then where are all the offspring?
in labs and graves probably. in the story its been several thousand years since humanity came to new eden.
Several tens of thousands of years.
When they arrived 10,000 years ago, they are the natives now. Unless you are some messed up Amarrian who believe that they were here first and naturalization birth rights don’t count.
Well, almost two tens of thousands. We arrived in New Eden ”around 15000 years ago”, so since it’s currently 23364 we arrived somewhere around 8350. The EVE wormhole collapsed a century after colonisation began.
It’s been 40,000 years.
You need a new calendar!
But Aikooo! I just read the official loooore!
I write the official lore.
Some CCP pleb in a cubicle doesn’t even play the game.
A calendar? Honestly I don’t think the Trektards are this neurotic when arguing on their forums.

Actually, if you were to read the Sani Sabik Volume VI, it describes how neurosis is the base state of a capsuleer.
Oh my! – George Takei
Well back on topic, besides fighting or meeting aliens, I would really like them to bring back housing. It was here when I wasn’t here. They should have more than just the one apartment. CCP is missing the gravy train on this one. People are willing to pay rent, buy decorations, and visit other players apartments. I know that doesn’t fit PvP or even “all the stuff needs to explode” rules, but maybe you can have players break into the apartment to steal it?

not enough people make it a priority for ccp, plus it was more work than they thought, as the game itself suffered due to the captains quarters
Yet to have it interact, as you had implied, with ships and capsules itd need to be some sort of “terrain-like” issue.
If it wasnt what you were going for thats fine, my mistake then.
It would be a combination of 3D models, particle generators and colliders. I’m assuming you mean “colliders” when you say “terrain”
Im thinking more like spawning/despawning/respawning shapes of buffs/debuffs that can allow for varied change within types. Not necessarily emitted from a static object but be anchored in such a way as to not be visible to players until within it, then you get the buff/debuff indicator above the HUD like you would if you were within the AOE of certain WHs, weapons like the Burst Projectors, Mission areas with AOE damage effects, or even Lance or other titan weapons. These could/would occupy areas of conflict like around celestials, in belts or around citadels, POCOs, stations on grid in random configurations, sometimes mixing types, some helpful, some benign and others deadly. Allowing pockets where certain ship types, weapons etc are more useful, others less so. Allowing capsuleer choices while on the battlefield to minimize or maximize strategic advantages.
Imagine your in a battle in null around a fortizar and pockets of buffs and debuffs pop up for a certain time giving and advantage to speed, weapons ranges or ship sig, or a disadvantage to tracking or ship HP, or a specific damage hole appears. FCs would have to manually avoid such areas or dive into them and stay within them for improved operational and tactical methods all while fighting the enemy.
Terrain, but in space! Cosmic energy radiation or whatever CCP would name them, opened by black holes, quasars or just random energy fluctuations due to capsuleer interference with warp drives and weapons engagements.
Spin capitals.
Put more than 3 XL guns on a dreadnought. The ship is 2 miles long and I can’t put 3 XL guns and 4 medium guns on it? It should have guns of all sizes!
“But then small ships wouldn’t be able to blow it up.” Yeah, I’ll waste time pretending to care about their feelings ![]()
launch more than 5 drones.
Drones used to be better and then got nerfed, you could field 5 hammerheads from a normal Vexor, I don’t think they’re going to row back on thay.
