Zaera is never wrong as she is perfect . She is also humble, brilliant and beautiful as perfect.
Anyone that disagrees , gets ganked.
I got this book yesterday. I feel I’m going to like it.
“Tea is different from the other witches in her family. Her gift for necromancy makes her a bone witch, who are feared and ostracized in the kingdom. For theirs is a powerful, elemental magic that can reach beyond the boundaries of the living—and of the human. Great power comes at a price, forcing Tea to leave her homeland to train under the guidance of an older, wiser bone witch. There, Tea puts all of her energy into becoming an asha, learning to control her elemental magic and those beasts who will submit by no other force. And Tea must be strong—stronger than she even believes possible. Because war is brewing in the eight kingdoms, war that will threaten the sovereignty of her homeland…and threaten the very survival of those she loves.”
According to a study, the spoilers we’re exposed to gives us, the readers more satisfaction before actually reading the book. Dopamine release and such they say, but I deduce it is the anticipation of the ending. Or, it could be the familiarity feeling. It is interesting I never had that feeling when watching Star Wars for the very first time, because I was exposed to its spoilers for many years.
Speaking about TDF, I remember very little of what I’ve read of the series’ previous books. Is it because that I’ve read them on an e-reader? I still retain the feeling, though.
I don’t like reading books in digital form, probably because I’m too used to use digital for research. I love the feel of a book in my hands, turning the pages and using a bookmark. I like buying bookmarks at the store. I have a bookmark for each book I’ve read. I leave them in the books after I’m done reading them.
I want these!
I used to be the same and enjoyed the increasing size of my book collection. An e-reader is acceptable for reading and the cost savings made me switch. Besides libby, Zlibrary, and the internet archive you can get free content in a pdf and just email it to a kindle. I still go to the library to check out books, but I rarely purchase anything bound anymore.
I understand you, I just don’t like tablets and e-readers and all these devices. I want to read a book, I can’t help it, and I don’t mind paying for a book at the store. Just buying a book is a treat for me. I love the physical feel of a book and putting it on a shelf after reading, knowing it’s there… I can’t describe the feeling.
Already read a bit of it. The narrative moves along at quite a comfortable pace, it’s well-written and Tea is likeable.
Today was World Book Day. Happy Belated World Book Day!
How noble of her! There was also a certain Andrew Carnegie who did the same.
The Carnegie foundation paid Zaera’s university fees
After graduating, Zaera in return, used her brilliance and education for a good cause , making a big difference to those in need. But don’t tell anyone, it’s our secret.
I’m just hoping it’s not a book about pronouns or rainbows.
So i’ve studied psychology.
Started reading Jordan Petersons 12 Rules for Life. We’ll see what’s this is all about… Heard as much good things as bad things about this book. It has sold over 10 million copies so can’t be that bad right.
I had the fortune of listening and watching Jordan Peterson’s videos. He is very good at thinking and using logic. Sometimes he overthinks, though. Please tell us what you think of it once you’re done with the book.
I’ve just finished reading my 150th book! Comic books, short stories and novellas not included.
