What do I do other than L2 security missions?

I’m getting so bored of these missions. They aren’t very rewarding and really monotonous. What else can I be doing? I am currently in a Caracal. Been queuing toward a Gila. But not sure what I should be doing.

I joined a corp. But every time I join a corp when coming back to this game I feel like I get sucked into things I don’t really enjoy, like mining. I did a lot of exploration when I first played and I liked it a lot, but it was frustrating dealing with all the sleeper sites and getting ganked.

So what can I do instead of the l2 security missions?

Might I suggest getting out of highsec and avoiding any PvE based corps? Most PvE based corps tend to also be mining corps.

Go join a faction warfare corp and learn some PvP while you do sites with the militia.

Go join a wormhole corp and learn how to live in a place with some entirely different rules from the rest of the game.

Go join a nullsec alliance and start raking in that sweek nullsec isk while learning all the myriad uses of the F1 key.

If you enjoy exploration, then skill up to fly it better.

Hunt low or null-sec relic/data sites. Find gas in lowsec. Both are highly rewarding, far more than high sec mission running even L4s.

Find gas in Wormholes. You’ll have 20 minutes from landing on grid to scoop as much as you can before the Sleepers spawn, and that can be worth a lot for something you do in a throw-away Venture.

Upgrade to L3s and then L4s? Skill into combat exploration ships (T3C or Stratios/Odysseus) and start combat site exploration in high sec/low sec? Get some cheap frigates for PVP and go learn PVP in low sec the inexpensive way?

Who?

Using cruiser for lvl2 is your main mistake. Lvl2 missions contain ton of frigates often at very high distances from each other or from warp-in and gates are often far from warp-in too.

So no wonder it is not fun to do. Try Corax instead. It is stilll repetitive, but at least it will be faster.

Also if you haven’t unstack your guns/lanuchers, or rather group them by two of four, more than that is overkill and waste of time.

Fun fact. The higher level missions aren’t any better designed, it is exactly the same just with more challenging rats. But it pays well so guess what? It is fun!

Also consider to do them in lowsec if you are bored. It pays better too, which means it is more fun!

Awe come on man, if missions are a bore, copy and paste play is even worse, he has an interest in WH life, he should be looking into WH corps.

You join a corp that offer you content that is much more diverse and rewarding? Try out Wormhole based corps, they have a great starting base for solo-exploration in times when nobody is online. But they also offer Gas-huffing, PvE content, PvP content if you like… You can use their stations to build things, have excellent planets to build your own little PI factory setup. And if you like you still can leave to HS very conveniently via the next best exit to run missions up to L4 or test out Abyssalrunning.

You live dangerous but you will learn a lot and you will have an environment that offers you almost any opportunity there is in EVE, since the wandering exits give you access to almost any space within a few jumps. WH space is the best space to live in, mostly free from political shenanigans, often pretty independent but still connected to other groups that might send help in case of an emergency.

You can do Level 3 security missions as an alpha. They are a huge step up in difficulty and engagement vs lvl 2 missions. You can also do level 3 mining missions as an alpha as well for a nice change of pace every now and then. Right now because of the job in real life I do I basically have to stay in high sec otherwise I’d get blown up. I get disconnected constantly. I enjoy the hell out of level 4 security missions. Wish I could go play in null sec but I’d just end up dieing when getting dc’d from whatever wifi I was playing on
