Kugutsumen was founded by a former EVE Online player and hacker who went by the alias Kugutsumen, which is Japanese for “puppet master.”
His real in-game name was T20 (or rather, he was involved in the T20 scandal), and the site’s founder is believed to have been “Kugutsumen” the player, who exposed CCP developer misconduct during the infamous T20 scandal in 2007. He allegedly gained access to internal CCP communications and published evidence that a developer had gifted rare in-game items (Tech II BPOs) to members of his own alliance, Band of Brothers (BoB).
The site became a haven for:
- whistleblowing,
- developer accountability,
- internal leaks,
- meta-gaming drama, and
- unfiltered EVE politics.
Forum moderation isn’t perfect, letting players flag posts isn’t perfect. Letting players discuss anything in any way at all on a corporate-owned forum intended to focus on their game isn’t perfect either.
If you dislike the fact that some posts are moderated in some way, feel free to go visit any of the forums that are completely un-moderated and observe the burning trashfires they frequently devolve into.
I don’t expect perfection from forum moderation. Just keeping things within reasonable bounds is fine. And if a few posts get disappeared that maybe shouldn’t have been, I’m fine with that too.

Hello @Swing_Vote I really hope you are a regular personality in this forum. I hope you will tough it out. I am against censorship myself. I understand this is not my forum, they want to censor what I call grammar errors and slang language. If they allow too much freedom, we have chaos. The only time you are truly free is when you are alone on a deserted island. If one other person is on that island with you, like @Gerard_Amatin , they tell me to stop wiping my ass on the coconuts, and you have the rule of law. A few of my opinions have seen the wastelands of opinion unwanted and thereby hidden. I bet you don’t want to be trapped with me on an island too soon!
