Deep safes and probes that were useful for something other than finding specific objects in specific locations. I know you sov blob people were always “waah, waah, deep safes are ruining everything”, but to everyone else, the infinity of space was a defining characteristic of the vastness and openness of the game world.
Multiple MWDs. Boy, that was a long time ago.
No warp to 0 on gates.
Jetcan mining and can flipping. I don’t know about ice miners in Halaima or whatever, but to me, mining was a lot more exciting back when someone could steal your ore. With these new-fangled barges you have as much ore hold as an entire jetcan, and your ore isn’t particularly in danger.

I am too new to have seen that, but I have looked at a lot of footage and commentary. I would like to see it brought back and expanded dramatically. Adding first and second person gameplay to Eve could be amazing, and while I know its been done and discontinued in various ways for a number of reasons I think if it were well planned out and implemented it could be utterly amazing.
Go to highsec and look for new players in Ventures, once you find them, CODE will be along soon enough to make them quit.

…the issue here is not the 4 day old’s skills, it’s yours. SP and isk to buy shiny things does not determine skill in flying and using a ship. Chances are you got wrecked by an alt, not a noob…and if it was a noob…well…
- The problem with play with this code is that it has the potential to break many, many things in the game.
It may be possible to simply just make a new gui (graphic user interface) element and then push the mechanics through that only ccp would know of this is possible, though i doubt its not, or at least not practical.
I strongly believe that mining, corps, and diplomacy systems need a design pass (full rework).
This is not actually taking away from the development of content, fixes etc. the art team handles this, and these are really low-attention projects that take very little time to do (relatively speaking). Its sort of a thing art devs may do to pass time, and its good they keep adding to this.
While binaries are technically possible, you should be aware that all systems in eve are manually created. A dev has to sit in the game and place objects, and do lots of work to get a system up and running. another region was planned to be added in 07, and it was left there. ccp has gone away from expansions of galaxy size to adding instanced content (likely for technical/balance reasons).
