I made 1.5 bil every 3 days as a solo player. Good enough for me!
Kernite in hi-sec.
And me, where is my share?
OH BOY…remember you did ask…
EVE Online, once a brutal crucible of cold, hard space where only the ruthless thrived, has devolved into a sniveling, limp-wristed gotcha game. The ‘Harden the ■■■■ up’ ethos—where you mined, fought, and died without a whimper—has been replaced by whiny carebears emoting in chat channels about their feelings. Back in the day, you lost a ship and tipped your cap to the victor; now, it’s all tears and ‘unfair’ sob stories. CCP’s coddling has turned a universe of Darwinian beauty into a padded cell for fragile egos. Shameful.
i miss when you could post suggestion for new idea without having turn into an insult festival because some player got upset that you dare to have an idea that could hurt their isk wallet.
Sadly every game is becomming the same. In games like WoW where you can’t gank anyone unless they set their PvP flag to ON. All they really have is battlegrounds which are akin to F1 monkeys in null duking it out, then beating their chests and boasting about how many kills they have.
My ex nagging at me.
… actually no, I don’t miss that.
Roasties come and go; EvE is everpresent
You would have to catch me first.
Watch out maybe she’ll send the Frostpuppy
after you!
Though we all know what expectations one should have when it comes to that entity so the risk is minuscule.
Zaera knows how to make Frostpuppy perform. Essentially she uses the carrot and stick method, the carrot being a mysterious yellow liquid (his favourite) consisting of ethanol and water.
Yellow Nuka Cola?
Sadly, that applies to most of the game.
Are you playing Fallout?
Only the classics (F1, F2 and Tactics).
I think I’m old fashioned and maybe also due to nostalgia to me Fallout is “isometric” but even in general these first person roleplaying games (Fallout or otherwise such as Skyrim and so on) are not as immersive to me, usually the end result is less realistic due to NPCs doing weird things and whatnot.
On the other hand the recently released Kindgom Come Deliverence 2 is pretty good while still suffering from such flaws too but not as badly, still could be even better though.
In opposition, the relatively recent Baldur’s Gate 3 was much more immersive to my taste despite “isometric” viewed (but with third person dialogue / cutscenes along with pre-rendered / movie-like cutscenes as well), still the scenes and NPC behavior was much more realistic than a first person game.
But as I wrote maybe it’s just me as based on my reading countless comments people tend to find FP RPGs more immersive.
But then, so do the Frostpackers.
I wonder, are the Frostpackers NPCs?
He’s a miner so practically yes.
He doesn’t send Zaera nearly enough ISK, his programming is clearly defective.
I didn’t need to send you any either. I must be defective as well?
Devs that arent full of crap? Updates that work? Or were these ever a thing?
No, updates never worked. There was a saying set a long skill on patchday way before there was a skill queue, but it wasn’t as bad as spending one week out of three of a once in a lifetime event implementing Deepflow Rift event credit.
I’m just assuming the whole codebase is a giant mess of hardcoded edge case spaghetti and I base it on the fact that POSes are still in the game, if they removed them then equipping a cargo scanner would cause Damsel In Distress to spawn three Zors in all adjacent constellations or something.
