The original forums from back in the day would be a good start.
Getting rid of hs pvp would break the economy of eve. Reward with no risk is a terible idea. Defo nope from me
So, Iâm not allowed to have an opinion? Just making sureâŚ
The old forum archive is a good read and quite entertaining. There are posts whining about high sec ganking in the very first month of the game back in 2003âŚ
This is a very good point: the few ads that exist not only cater to just one type of customer, itâs almost always something that requires an innate understanding of the game which to anyone new is just going to sound like weird mumbo jumbo.
Also, the narrated NPE is (now that Iâve done it a few times) not good: itâs just dumping exposition onto new players under the guise of âstoryâ but itâs really just an endless stream of uninterruptible boring cutscenes where they donât get to play. Theyâre forced to endure and itâs not interesting, instead itâs extremely long winded and doesnât really explain anything at all nor does it entice to play (if you even make it through it).
The amount of people going âI skipped the tutorialâ in Rookie has gone up tremendously even though the actual number of newbies seems to have gone down. Normally Iâd scoff at people who skip intros and tutorials, in this case I canât blame them.
Even so, the tutorial does serve a purpose. I see new players that skip it all the time and the first questions they ask in rookie help are âHow do I move?â âHow do I undock?â. Well, genius, if you hadnât skipped the tutorial youâd know howâŚ
This being EVE itâs completely normal for newbies to wonder how to undock or move even if they DID go through that tutorial. Having to endure at least a full hour of endless yapping where you simply phase out and then, in between, a âclick here to undockâ, âapproach thisâ and âorbit thatâ probably isnât the best way to do things or showcase basic game play.
Itâs just not good enough: itâs too boring, doesnât explain enough and doesnât really teach anything other than âoooh asteroids look awesomeâ followed by âwhereâs the uninstall buttonâ.
If new players were given a proper tutorial about all the various nuances of EVE, it would be 12 hours long and theyâd quit it anywayâŚ
No it does not. I just needs them to actually be in control of their ship, instead of what is effectively a cut scene, and have them fly around repeating the procedures a few times building upon what they learned. The tutorial doesnât even show how to warp, they have to align and then after a while they get fleet warped.
The very last thing the tutorial does is direct you to your first career agent, and you have to undock and warp there yourself. If you skip the tutorial, you wonât even know how to do that or that the career agents even existâŚ
Long story short, it takes a certain type of player and a certain amount of intelligence to play and enjoy EVE. Most new players donât even take advantage of the myriad sources of information, guides, and instructional step-by-step videos of EVE gameplay, and instead resort to pissing and moaning and asking a billion questions insteadâŚ
To a degree, yes. At the same time one can CHOOSE to make it difficult, boring and terrible⌠or not.
Besides, not really sure we should take pointers from someone who put bounties on newbies knowing full well it will probably freak them out as they assume theyâre now outlaws and can be hunted by anyone.
That is the case whether they have a bounty or not. Welcome to EVEâŚ
You canât be this fcking moronic, although in your case⌠itâs believable.
In most games where you can get a bounty it means âyouâre now being targeted and hunted by everyone else and can be attacked without repercussionâ. You going âololol thatâs EVEâ doesnât help them nor are they supposed to fully understand what EVE entails. Itâll freak them out and for good reason, they donât even KNOW how to do basic things and now theyâre hunted?
Iâve seen people start a new character because they got a bounty, simply because they didnât understand (which being less than an hour into the game makes fcking sense).
And there it is. Ad hominem personal attacks. The purview of those with no valid argument. Was wondering how long that would take. You may sit down nowâŚ
Only if you pay me.
Am I slacking on my tithes to The Mistress? I must rectify this immediatelyâŚ
Always more. No exceptions.
make a deep mind google top AI to avoid fraud and give SOLO pvp kills a FAT reward
else you will lose the best player you have

No, itâs simply pointing out a fact. You spend your time in Rookie to troll day 1 newbies, if thatâs not a red flag then what is.
