The ‘notify’ would seem to refer to an item being sent to asset safety. But, this message simply followed an item being removed from a fitting…no station was blown up or anything, all of this happened in dock.
The plot thickens…
The object has turned up. WHY would it end up there ? Its not the station I was at. What has happened to make this item go to this station ?
Chances are you bought it not realizing it was at another one of the hubs in Jita (not 4-4). I’ve done this lots… The transaction logs may shed some light on it…?
No…I was stripping down a Tornado fit…as I have a better fitting. Instead of the item going to Item Hanger I got some message ( in OP ) about it being sent to Caldari Admin Station. I was in Uemissaisen at the time…and the item ended up at Jita…lol.
Ok, well - I got nothing, lol! At least it didn’t get routed to Pochven… If you figure out what you did let us know - this would be a cool way to securely “insta-warp” items across the galaxy…
I’m fairly sure I ‘mis-clicked’ something. It’s one of those things I could not repeat if I tried. But if its a bug then it is a fairly serious one…as yes, people would be able to move stuff about without any travel. But I’ve no idea how it happened.
They say all roads lead to Jita!
Bugs work in mysterious ways. I’ve never seen one similar to this before.
Things I’d check if I saw such an event: is the Caldari station your home station? Is it the station you originally fit the Tornado in. Do you have any other connection to that station? (ie. orders in it for a similar item) Did you remove each item individually or use “strip fittings”? What is different about that item from all the other items on your fitting?
Since code doesn’t magically alter from one repetition of a situation to the next, then the weirdness should be repeatable. The trick is figuring out what unusual set of circumstances may have triggered it.
No, my home station is in Uedama and the Jita station is one I have never been to before.
The Tornado was bought and originally fitted at Jita 4:4. I moved it to my second base at Uemisaisen and spent a few hours working on a new fitting. In Uemisaisen I removed the mid slot items ( individually ), but got the OP message when moving the scan resolution script…I think I double clicked something by mistake, I’m really not sure.
There was likely a click error of some sort… my guess is the item went into limbo and EVE just decided to relocate it to the Jita Admin Station ( which does not sell those items anyway )…which is basically 3 systems away from where I was.
I’ve no idea how to repeat it. But its clearly something devs might want to take a look into. I’ve left the item at the station so as not to mess up the trail further.
I would say you were simply to quick with other actions, ie. you tried to move the script to your hangar and then accidentally tried to drag it somewhere else. That triggers messages like this.
Did you missclick and accidentally send it to asset safety perhaps?
There is no need for a structure to explode to trigger asset safety, you can also trigger it manually from within the asset window. (And maybe other places too, but I don’t know about those.)
No…you can’t do that from the fittings window, which is what I was in. There’s really no reason why unfitting an item should result in it ending up in another station. I’ve check if removing the sensor without first removing the script does anything untoward…but no, it just sends both sensor and script to the Item Hanger.
Strange!
