During the event, PvP kills will reward you with a 90% loot drop rate
Had no idea this was a thing was it added in recent years?
I donât really keep track of it but I recall seeing it since sometime, though not sure if it happened every year and when it did if it was during the same event every case.
I also remember at least once it applied to implants as well not just ship loot.
We just had an entire month of 90% loot drop and very little happened that doesnât already happen every single day. SAFETY was going after Ventures and the occasional freighter.
Gankers donât want to get rid of Concord. It protects them. It stops their fleets from being killed on sight. It protects their neutral bumping ships. If there was no Concord, fleets of drones would swarm them on sight and Logistic Cruisers would be able to protect the mining ships they go after.
All removing Concord would accomplish would be to allow low and null sec attackers to enter High Sec. Youâd see real wars then.
Most people would simply log off for that week- abandon structures and dock up in NPC stations where they canât be attacked. When the week ends, they deploy their replacement structures and continue on. Of course, those that stay away from Trade Hubs or belong to very strong Alliances would probably continue operations. Maybe get a few kills of their own. Kill that miner who refused to stop shooting lasers at your chunk of ice instead of finding his own!
What if there were no safe docks anymore and everything was full loot? I always found it funny in EVE you can safe dock but in a game like Ark there is no real 100% safety and everything can be destroyed. You can lose it all aside from whatever is in upload and your character.
But I suppose you have to dock somewhere else youâd never be able to enter space in your ship long enough to get out.
This game is a little too safe in my view though and not hardcore enough.
Youâd see a lot of people quit. I suppose if thatâs your goal then this is a wonderful idea. May as well make any and all stations permanently gone when destroyed. No more Trade Hubs. Jita would be gone. No more Player Market. This game would go bye-bye.
Letâs deal with a few of your âfactsâ
Actual member count for Wrecking Machine is 67âŚonly 13 of whom have logged in more recently than a month ago. In fact more than half the members I have never heard of, despite me being in WM over two and a half years. So your 385 is actually members over a 9 year period. since WM beganâŚand includes people briefly joining from Absolute Order or other corps. Wrecking Machine is itself an amalgam of 15 or so corps.
The point being that simply presenting â385 membersâ is wrong.
And likewise with the even more important â58,341 killsâ. You totally fail to take into account that over 30,000 of that is lowsec solo kills by WM members and not part of any station bashing or wardec fleet, as WM members do not corp swap but remain always in the corp whatever their activities.
So here we have a classic example of how you can present your âdataââŚyet the data is misleading.
Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Iâd be okay with that. Give more power to the players to make the game the way they want it. If they want Mad Max in space then let the cards fall where they may.
Said the Goon who was last in the game 8 years ago, living under the umbrella in the blue donut.
Yes. People who actually play are aware of these things.
What players? No more stations. No one trading to the market. No more ore. No more ships. No more anything. Unless youâre a massive corporation that can still build structures, youâd be flying around in an escape pod until it gets blown up. Make a new character- you just introduced perma-death while simultaneously destroying every bit of growth.
It doesnât seem like you understand what it means to not have anymore stations⌠anywhere. The players would quit, this game would stop being profitable, and CCP would pull the plug forever.
The stations that would be left would be player owned and not 100% safe any longer. Trade stations could require you to stay in space next to them perhaps to trade if not in the corp. And even if you could still dock perhaps a bribe could eject you into space no matter what to fight you for whatever reason. Itâd be glorious!
Those corporations are not enough to make this game profitable. The game would be turned off forever.
I know, right?
You blap someone you should be banned from docking for the length of your timer.
Think youâre safe traveling in your flashy red pod in high sec? Sorry, you are banned from docking and using a gate. Like lurking inside the docking ring like the mighty hunter (read carebear) that you are? Sorry, no safety past zero meters from the station.
Still think:
Or are you fine with being the fish in a barrel?
Mr Epeen
Really, are there none in null?
You didnât catch the part where we said that only those in large corporations would be protected? And that those players wouldnât be enough to keep this game profitable?
Think this game could survive just on null-sec players? Can you provide data to support that assumption?
We currently have destroyable player owned trade structures in high sec with less tax than Jita, and they doing fine. Whoever goes to Jita is not too bright as pay more.
It is natural that the strongest control the stations rather than giving muppets the right to sit in NPC structures spamming or undercutting Zaeraâs friends such as @Conference_Elitest with no fear of getting kicked out, ganked and podded.
.
Mr Epeen
Good job. Congratulations. Amazing.
Please tell me that your having a structure means anything at all for any other corporation. Tell me that the entire game would do just fine because you have a structure. Iâd like to hear you tell me that if every single NPC structure in ALL of High Sec was destroyed, YOUR structure would be enough to power the entire playerâs market.
Your structure is irrelevant to my point.
If it was true.
But it isnât. They have zero structures.
Mr Epeen
Possibly through a holding company. Common practice to avoid having any wars.
