Sure, more stuff drives prices down. But that in turn means Joe Miner gets less for his ore. The more those industrialists are turning out cheap ‘competitive’ stuff…the less Joe Miner gets. There’s countless real world examples of cheap products actually leading to the demise of both small and large industries as industrialists simply look for new ‘miners’ who are prepared to work for even more of a pittance.
And yes, gankers drive prices up. And that is a GOOD thing for Joe Miner. Not only does the risk mean there are fewer miners to compete with but the destruction means there is less stuff hanging about to lower prices and thus Joe Miner gets more for his ore !

EVE was a great game for my, or close to my age group. Times change and I can’t find another game that even comes close. “But I just want to chill.” is not what the game was designed for.
So why the hard on for more destruction in high security space when its outside the area of operation?
When in an alliance, the alliance declares war, not a single corporation. Its not like FW where participation can be decided more granularly. Still, there are probably groups who would go for being able to declare war on a single corporation within an alliance and engage piecemeal.
Please. The industrialists of EVE 1 isked prices into the ground because a ton of them just want to do an activity and have real life money to subsidize it all. There are so many unprofitable items on the market cause back in the day Joe Miner made 1000 medium jump drives/large ancilarry shield boosters and CCP never adjusted the BPC drop rate to make them worth anything.
When CCP made caps cost almost triple, if not quadruple as much and people stopped wanting to use them, which risk exactly was reduced that caused the lesser demand?
Warfare in high security space matters naught, worst case is a few citadels are lost. There is no way to evict people like in a wormhole and until Null, there is no flag to tear down and replace. No, this whine is %100 about manipulation of the envrionment to keep the fish in the barrell.

6 or 7? The sov 2.0 changes gave some hugh stealth buffs, fever anoms meaning less places for hunters to look, not to mention escalations that force use of maruders/captials to complete that can be caught in siege.
Only if they sell it for less, nobody makes them list it on the market for less ISK than the effort to get it.

Again you are evading the actual point. Less risk means less destruction. The entire market is founded upon destruction. Stuff being destroyed is what warrants making new stuff in the first place.

A curious statement. How much ISK is it worth to get it ? I’ve stored ore waiting for the price to rise, or more specifically for actual demand. But if the demand falls because there’s already a gazillion tons of ore in the system because everyone is safer and more people are mining…isn’t it obvious what the effect on demand and prices will be ?
Another somewhat evasive and curious comment. Scarcity is what drives prices up. If there are less miners because some got ganked, that is going to lead to less ore in the system. Plus the destruction is what drives the economy in the first place !

The Pink Ribbon campaign is the annual women´s cancer awareness and fundraising campaign of the Icelandic Cancer Society.
