What is HAPPENING TO EVE?

One way to do that would be to start us in one of several noob corporations and those corporations would be in permanent war with each other.
The NPE would ask the new player to fit up and go fight another noob from another noob corporation.
Win or lose, the new player would return to the agent and get a free fitted destroyer then be asked to take a trip to Low with that free ship and duel another player or attack an NPC.
New player shall surely lose but be given points in LP store and 50k sp for completing the request.

It’s just something I pulled off the top of my head but if new players understand that the game revolves around PvP they would be less likely to come here and whine.

please don’t do yet another npe overhaul
you’ve redone it about a dozen times
enough is enough
game needs content desperately not the 15th npe itteration

There is also this: the trailers portray adventures, but those packs in the EVE Store contain mining barges!

Well, that’s just odd, one of those are fake news, is the trailer fake news? Or is the store a SCAM?

Think about this for a second, what adventure will you have in a mining barge other than being shot?

Cause I don’t think the new player will undock Jita 4 4 and go all Market Tycooning people

Mining barges have adventures, NPC attacking attacking, drones being deployed the satisfaction of getting the load to the dock, all an adventure.

I once had a great adventure in my mining barge, I got tackled by asteroids in a mining belt and couldn’t warp for 15 minutes

Really exciting stuff

Those drunk sessions are the best.

Paint drying has adventures too! The paint sitting there, slowly drying. Doing all the fascinating things that paint does when it drys. Hours and hours of gripping, edge of your seat, adventures!

My most exciting experience, was in a procurer.

I used it steal a bunch of ore a mining fleet was placing into a jet can before transferring it to their miasmos.

They didn’t like that very much.

But what they like even less, was about 30 minutes later I suicide ganked the miasmos and a corp mate bagged that ore.

Fun times.

Thats a great idea!

t1 industry changes was the last nail in the coffin…affected my play style a lot…npc nullsec carebear here living in stainganistan…with the minerals colected from belt ratting i was building my own carriers and dreds or faction bs/cruiser with bpc collected from ded sites…
On theyr minds, ccp tought im gona create a tones of alts to run spreadshit PI or spent my 2 h /day mining on a ■■■■ citadel…hell no…my chars run out in 2 3 months and im not intending to plex them anymore.

Game was great when a lot of ppl was out in space doing something(exploration ded site anom or belt ratting),hunting or beeing hunted…now ppl get stuck for hours on mining some ■■■■ athanors or abysal runing at jita undock and u whonder why game is boring

Actually that was Aiko. She hit them so hard with her ganks, she knocked them clean out of the game.

This brought content and progression. Now its death empty

I prefer Yoda. He’s funny and most powerful.
To quote him: " A good game EVE is. "

Can I have your stuff?

Pass on your legacy to someone who can use it!

They’re about to drop a big update in the form of FW which, if done properly, will help boost pvp activity.

There’s a lot of mental gymnastics in this thread around pvp vs pve mindset. Personally I think it’s more nuanced than that, I think people are not one or the other, they’re both, possibly outside of high sec which, being your starter area, isn’t really pvp centric and also harbours incredibly safe pvp (high sec war deccing) which isn’t really true competitive pvp - sorry lads!

What I hear most as a null vet is people are getting tired at the amount of pve needed to sustain pvp. Where once people could whelp HACs, T3Cs, Nightmares, Machs at a reasonable rate and sustain cap and supercap escalations perhaps 2-3 times a year, the ability to fund that lifestyle isn’t really there anymore.

For me CCP need to:

  • Make high sec the starter area. Protect the newbros.
  • Incentivise heavy pvp in low / null.
  • Improve pve rewards and remove some rewards from instanced content which doesn’t open people up to pvp e.g. abyssals.

I am more interested in the end of year Nov/Dec second Trig invasion wave where all 4 highsec empires will be permanently cut off from each other with zero highsec routes between them.

You mean protect the null-sec career farmers and bot operators transporting their double-digit-billion-ISK loads for sale to the plebs in Jita?

Several weeks ago I had seen a fleet fleeting close to Caldari stargate.

It could be a good time of packing up and leaving Jita

Also thinking outside the donut when I mention that when looking at that new style map that was shared around, how else would something like that be introduced into New Eden lore wise without cutting pipe around the centre and what better way of making the 2nd Trigturd wave carry out the task of pusing highsec out of the centre and for the Factions to form new pipes around the outer edge,

Then they need to decrease the number of high sec systems and increase the number of low sec system’s

Or they need to incentivize not noob players to get out of high sec so it exclusively for new players

Perhaps a skill cap. Characters with >4.5 mil skill points are barred from entering high sec.

I agree you, making anything outside the starter systems & career agent locations 0.4 or below system security status.
