1200 in Local in Jita last Friday at primetime EU - I remember the days we had to bloody QUEUE at the gate to get in…
This concentration on Jita is one of the BIG reasons things are failing IMHO…
I really DO NOT see how Jita can get so much love, in a game based SO MUCH on Lore that the other 3 regions are neglected.
And WHEN is W-Space gonna get some love ?
It’s NO FUN AT ALL playing for 3 hours and NOT having a single person enter your Wormhole Chain, YET - we get the worst deal possible on Structure destruction… Risk vs Reward ??? We have it all on the line for almost ZERO reward…

The people that find enjoyment in mundane gameplay are far easier (less expensive) to keep around as customers. All you have to do is stop poking them with sharp sticks.
Adrenline junkies are always harder (more expensive) to attract and retain, especially with so many other games available.
Ultima Online is still around after 25 years, and you can bet it isn’t the same two people repeatedly PK-ing each other. However, their world is indeed dead, with their “Jita” looking like a ghost town. I’m amazed they still manage to pay the electricity for the servers.

I don’t have the link handy but somewhere on the forums I linked an interview with the UO team where they said it’s basically 6 people doing it all now. So that helps manage the expenses.
Makes you wonder what CCP has accomplished over the past 10 years with their 300 devs and $60 million budget.

Eve is doing just great. The devs still want INFINITE EVE FOREVER so it’s fine. And buying a ship with real money just results in it getting suicide ganked anyway.

I agree. Stop giving the “doom n’ gloomers”any Creedence, and have been predicting EvE’s eminent demise for 18 years straight.
And even if they are correct this year, I’ll walk away with fond memories to smile back on. Good friends and stories of space-capades.

Most people played during Incarna, then disappointment, there was another spike 2 years after it, and again disappointment…
If Incarna would be a success, if CCP would put money where their mouth is, then we would see probably double the numbers and even today we would see double numbers. There would be no Star Citizen, no Elite Dangerous, No nothing, only EVE.
Hilmar, put money where your mouth is. You said you want EVE to last forever.
That separate FPS, its trash. There was only one DUST, and it will not be made better because you dont have as much money as before, to make 2 games at the same time.

World of Warcraft population faced a hard drop this year, what if its not just an EVE situation?
It’s not, and never was. The MMO industry is getting absolutely demolished.
But this won’t stop all of these bleeding-heart whiners from saying that EVE is dying because all the new players are getting ganked out of the game or whatever.

1.25-1.29 minute would be a good idea to show in EveOnline for example.
Generate a Pie chart one for each main activity in Highsec (Sorry can’t speak for nul or low)
Ganking vs Non Ganking. (Done both but still don’t hold the grasp of why even bother doing those at all and I still don’t have a clue) ← I am stuck in that bucket still. Let’s move on.
Time it takes to obtain a Catalyst, fit it, train a pilot to undock it… scout, gank, send evemail rp… etc etc.
Then make a new piechart with other activities such as antiganking that would be simular in waiting attacking/stopping such Catalyst. The time on each part can be looked at closely and analysed, compared.
What’s happening in Eve? A time sink is what is happening and it is that time we use to find enjoyment that makes the time not feel so dull such as reading through this comment I made. Sorry not sorry.
