What is the absolute cheapest path to the most SP? I want to pump my toons back up with SP.,

So I have some old characters I extracted everything from quite a long time ago and they have 10’s of billions in skills books and implants on them and I would like to pump them back up with Skill Points.

What is the cheapest way? Buy plex → Convert to ISK → Convert to Large Skill Injectors? If this is the way to go how much would it cost me USD to grab maybe 100 skill injectors?

Should I buy some plex then buy a character and extract all of it SP?

Please let me know what you think the best way is and how much the prices are in each scenario?

Thanks!

If you’re willing to wait, using the PLEX to buy Omega to train those accounts the regular way is probably the cheapest way to turn PLEX into SP. Do use implants and a good remap for optimal efficiency.

Another option to turn PLEX into SP is to buy injectors like you mentioned. Unlike regular training, this process is instantaneous, but the SP this way is a bit more expensive. Injectors also run into diminishing returns when you get above certain milestones (5M SP, 50M SP, 80M SP) which means your SP per PLEX goes down a lot the higher SP you have.

A third option to turn PLEX into SP is to boost the regular training with cerebral accelerators. Especially for high SP characters where injectors are into diminishing returns this option is attractive, because accelerators have no such diminishing returns. Downside of accelerators is that you can use only one at a time, so it takes time to turn your PLEX into SP this way.

If you do use cerebral accelerators, make sure your Biology level is 5, and use the implant that extends booster duration to increase the SP you get for your PLEX.

Also do a comparison, there are various accelerators and they may have different SP/PLEX rates as well as different SP rate increases.

So here’s what I would do to turn PLEX into the most SP:

  1. Make the account Omega if it isn’t already
  2. Make a long training queue with skills with two attributes only
  3. Do an attribute remap to maximise those two attributes and get +5 implants for those attributes
  4. Train biology 5 and get the implant to increase booster duration
  5. Buy stacks of cerebral accelerators to last a while (keep in mind that they often have expiry dates)
  6. Use the rest of your ISK for injectors

Depending on whether you want it less SP now or want more SP later you can choose between spending all remaining PLEX on injectors now or spending the remaining PLEX on Omega for the coming years in a sale.

I don’t know about the current prices of these options, you can check them on EVE Tycoon

Probably by starting with the skills that need the shortest amount of time to upgrade.

Itll take some time. Make sure you get your free one-million SP from any eve corp website link.

Start with what you need for the ships you are currebtly flying and then develop the skills for what you will fly next. Its better to get 20 skills up to level 3 in 24hrs rather than one skill up to level 3 in 2 weeks. It still depends on what you want/need.

You can also use the basic skill plans - they give you a bit of everything you need and then you can add any other skills on top of the plan or create a whole new one.

Have fun!

Well… @Azurialle you did say the cheapest in your title. From this player, who has spent zero dollars on this game since the summer of 2023, the simple answer is grind ISK and buy skill injectors. No monies what-so-ever, unless you value your time.

Then you threw out the option of spending money on PLEX. Now it is a math versus time problem. If a train is traveling south at 70 KPH and and another train is headed east on the same track at 128.34 MPH. The arc of the track is a parabola of 40 degrees… I hate math problems.

I think you should make up your mind as to how much you want to spend on skills and go from there.

Have fun!
