Most games which come under EA on Steam require a payment, so they aren´t free.
Early Access on Steam means buying and playing an unfinished game while it is still in active development
- Vanguard is still unfinished
- Vangaurd is under development
So what is the diffrence between Paid Access (FC Wording) and Early Access (Steam Wording)?
And why did you choose again a different wording if there is already a general usage for the state of the game?
I am getting very confused and a lot of mix messages about the actual state of the game.

If Vanguard is in Playtest there are some Request on it from CCP to create content for Money.
I highly recommend to give it a try, makes lot of fun and easier to get money before Youtube or Twich give you partner Status.
I love this site, the Started with EVE:Online as Alpha and since there they running actually a real cool solid business.
I was not finished with the Text and this Forum has no good external WYSIWYG Editor.
And somebody considered having CTRL + ENTER as post function and i fat fingered it before i finalized my DRAFT into a public version.
And since English isn´t my mother tongue i wrote it very direct without changing the slang into Gentleman English, so i deleted it cause it was not ready for public.
Early access how i frame it from a console perspective.. i had my hands on and playing batman, legacy of the dark knight 3 days before the ones who didn’t pre-order.

i have currently following EA Title in Steam or some of them actually got 1.0 and out of EA.
- Wardogs
- Wanderburg (they actually released)
- before that only 1 map was playable and most upgrade where greyed out
- Fatekeeper
- only lets you play to like the first 10 Hours or so
- MENACE
Valheim was EA and i played it last time in 2021 very nothing was finished and they dropped into 1.0 just recently.
I just not sure anymore what to expect and how unfinished the game can or should be…
And how much they fixing once they get it into 1.0…
(Should watch the whole thing.. but raise even more questions)
So for Collins there is no diffrence between current Alpha or Beta its just the big button on Steam which everybody can discover the game once it is EA… so we do testing with the EVE Community before we get “real” FPS Gamers on it.
