What is the Sleipnir good at?

So I REALLY REALLY want the Sleipnir. It looks super cool, I like battlecruisers and love projectile weapons. The only problem is it’s range seems lacking for higher level PVE which is what I tend to do most often. Other people I’ve asked also said it has a slow clear for level 4 missions and some DEDs because of how far apart enemies spawn. What do people here think about it? Is it worth trying to skill for the Sleipnir if I wanna do some PVE or will I be disappointed? I like doing faction warfare too but I’d be scared to lose the ship.

the sleipnir is not a realy good PvE ship but strong in solo PvP !

if youre scared to lose a ship then PvP isnt a thing for you so either you lose your fear or youre never going to attack at any risk wich does not make any fun. ( my opinion )

Would the Sleipnir be good for doing large plexes solo?

if you have to ask that question then probably not. Stick to stabbers until you know the answer

Well, I don’t know about Faction Warfare but it is a Battlecruiser Command ship… I think if fit with proper Command Burst modules to go with it’s hull bonus, it should work fine in a small gang…

However for solo higher level PvE in High Sec space, I’m thinking 4/10 DED and Watch / Vigil combat sites…

I used a Sleipnir with max skills for those sites in Minmatar space… The ship worked great set up as an up-close Brawler fit using Autocannons with active shield tank… I even used it to run Level 4 Epic Arcs but part way through I switched over to Loki T3 Cruiser for it’s smaller sig and faster mobility…

Course my clone has implants to help boost ship stats… And from years of doing exploration I also ran a bling fit on the Sleipnir… I haven’t used it for years now but this is the fit I have on it…

It’s very far from efficient, but I used to like using 720mm howitzers for PVE, very satisfying to alpha things from range. As DeMichael says for ACs the Loki is better at this too, with the webbing sub.

But you could have fun in something like

Solo pvp and belt ratting > Auto cannons
Combat site specially tough > Artillery with standard range ammo, Sites can be cleared far more faster and safer than with a missile or a drone ship.
