What is this game anymore

Bud, I live in nullsec, haven’t touched hi-sec in a very long time. Hell, my last ‘loss’ in hisec was in march of 2019 (some depot I lost and forgot about). Suicide ganking in hisec’s gotten to an exacting science where so long as you follow the formula, you’re almost guaranteed a kill and whatever loot survived the explosion.

Elite pvp? No. You’re not pitting your ship, skills, and wits vs like-minded combatants. You’re not risking your ship (and capsule) straying into enemy territory, seeking out fame and glory, only to be hunted like some mangy fox by a mob of some very angry residents. As annoying as such raiders can be, I’ll respect their willingness to put their ships at risk by stepping into somebody’s backyard. Who I have no respect for are wardeccers. They’re the ultimate carebear version of pvp.

Now, suicide ganking as elite Piracy? I will 100% get behind that. No warning (wardec). Very effective. Very Deadly.

I understand .
You have "powerful friends in nullsec " .

I think I’ll just respond with this

Calm down miner.

Ooh, boy. Lots of things to unpack here.

People say this, because they forgot about character bazaar. Character bazaar has been a thing for a very long time, and you could always go out and buy a 120 million skillpoint character. This really wasnt any different than buying skill injectors.

Theyve become cheaper, thanks to player owned stations, actually. The only difference is, you cant go around changing your orders over and over again. You have to commit to the price you list, or dont commit at all and sell directly. It got rid of the 0.01 isk wars, so i cant really complain.

There was always an aspect of minerals that were almost never available in hisec outside of anomalies. This has never changed. What did change, was that the more common ores were taken out of nullsec, making regular ores like veldspar more valuable.

So net benefit has stayed the same.

Maybe you should join a corp that has ties to lowsec? Maybe you should group together and defend your own assets while being in lowsec?

Or, maybe you should just either sell your ore directly or buy the lacking minerals like every industrial has done because all minerals for all ships have never existed exclusively in hisec before, either.

inflated market means whatever you sell is also inflated, including manufactured goods. Market will and has adjusted. Just because you suck at math doesnt mean the game is borked.

What does this even mean. Do you know how easy it is to travel from hisec to nullsec? Last time i checked, you cant bubble in lowsec, and you can still fit a >1 second align interceptor.

Then dont afk. We already know this, this isnt a surprise anymore, so if youre planning on afking in nullsec, take your stuff with you or asset safety it out first.

Why is this a negative? it was shocking when it was first introduced, but now everyone knows about it, so its not a big deal anymore.

If the game pissed you off and you left, well, thats your own fault. And if life happened and you had to step away, why are you angry? Life happens, its more important than a video game. If your dad had a heart attack while you were in the middle of a fight, and stepping away meant your Titan would die, would you be angry that the game forced you to lose your ship because of real life? How stupid is that?

I dont even understand what this means.

You mean like how you could drop a grand in plex and buy a character from the character bazaar?

The only joke here is your IQ.

Whats the difference between elite piracy and elite PVP? PVP just means “player versus player”. If youre agreeing that its elite, then its still elite PVP.

1 - Wasted time? Of course;
2 - I gonna resume, for real I did not read your post entirely, but looks like CCP got all good ideas and wrong solutions;
2.1 - Serenity 2.0;
2.2 - CSM is a joke, I got to agree with Aiko’s post, CSM is some “outsourcing” of customer support, they use CSM as a shield and in exchange they let CSMs talk on their ears, when they are lost they listen to CSM;
2.3 - Everything is about Null sec;
2.3.1 - If there’s a war, everything is about the war;
2.4 - read 2.3;
2.5 - For real, read 2.3;
3 - Stop playing now if you think EVE is going anywhere, COVID already gave EVE a second chance, I doubt another one is coming. If you make passive ISK like 80% of people that talk big, then keep playing and welping stuff you put no effort to acquire and brag about PvP;
4 - Dunno, do something random in RL;
5 - realize you never had any fun for a long time, it’s just routine;
6 - WIN;

End.

Adapt or die

yet proceeds to lecture everyone…

Your name’s also Astelon? Huh, I didn’t know you had a twin.

Now we could get into a long debate over what defines PVP in EVE. I know some of the more rabid folks will argue endlessly that me sitting in a station managing my PI colonies is somehow “pvp” (whatever definition that’s supposed to be).

I can categorize piracy as a specialist form of pvp that’s almost exclusive to hi-sec, since unlike the raider in nullsec who’s usual modus operandi is to attack the first perceived weak ship (be it a mining ship, ratter, hauler or other) it finds, pirates are usually out to profit against the weak and gullible who think that hisec is safe sec. If you can find the formula that min/maxes your profits from ganking ships in hisec, congrats.

When I hear ‘Elite PVP’ in EVE, my first thought are the alliance tournament-like guys. Those players who don’t just go out raiding helpless ships but will also go tango with the response fleet as well, and come out on top most of the time. This doesn’t include those duel baiters in hisec. They’re trying to rig the system to maximize their chance of winning. No, these players are the ones who willingly fly into dangerous territory with little knowledge ahead of time, fight enemy response fleets, and somehow come out on top, if not in survival, in simply causing more isk loss than he received. I’ve watched them in battle, and I’ve gone against them in response fleets, and those are some scary good players. They tend to be cocky but at the same time they sort of earned the right to be.

For someone claiming to be an industry main you talk a lot about plex price in $’'s.

If your industry account is not plexed with ISK stop doing industry, you are running at -ISK phr. Instead just buy plex for $ and sell directly for ISK.

Man you know you’re in for an extra dumb read when the wall of text opens with the suggestion that time previously spent playing (and presumably enjoying) a game becomes a “waste” if, at some point, you stop enjoying the game.

And to those just saying get good, it’s an 80M SP character with enough in the way of combat as he has Industry. I can do both, I just shouldn’t be forced to.

When they said “git gud” they weren’t talking about the character.

Sure, but this is just your personal opinion. In the end, words have meaning, and you can say “I know that people say KFC is fried chicken, but I dont consider KFC to be chicken. Its fried, but it isnt chicken”, but the facts are simple. Its still chicken, by any definition, and if you concede that it is fried, then yes, it is fried chicken.

PVP is defined as, quite literally, player versus player. And if youre ganking another player, then you are in direct conflict with another player, as direct as you possibly can be in this game. You can get away with saying “yeah, i dont know if PI is PVP”, but you cant get away with calling ganking as being anything other than PVP.

Concord going on strike, and therefore all ganking is now legal in hisec.

Stop having children!!! Oh, and while you at it toss the existing one into the nearest volcano.

Oh holy crap that would be amazing.
I wrote up a suggestion (which they ignored) for the CSM that everyone in Eve be drafted into their faction warfare militia but Concord going on strike could be just as good if not better.
