What Movie are You Watching Today?

@Aiko_Danuja This is what I thought Civil War would be like. Funny enough, they decided to make this after liking how the military scenes were shaping up in a Civil War and quickly put this together.

Watched this today.

Very good movie, good acting, well made. I really liked it.

Surprisingly good movie!

This time, I’m sure… Paul Reiser is good guy. Casting a 1980s villain in a show that takes place in the 1980s. Why would they do that?

Few days ago, finished watching The Queen’s Gambit. TV/Streaming at its best.

I quite enjoyed it. Especially Woody Harrelson. One of my favorite actors.

I started watching, for the first time proper, and left to be finished tomorrow, one of the most iconic scary movies ever: Stephen King’s IT (1990).

IT is THE FILM which cemented coulrophobia in many millions of children(and grownups). It is based on the book of same name that spans over 1,000 pages. I heard that many book elements are censored and toned down in order to make it compatible with TV(and ethics of the time). I am not able to confirm this, because when I attempted to read I couldn’t get past the first 100 pages. The book was that disturbing for me.

The clown portrayed by Tim Curry might not seem scary today, but it reportedly scared the living daylight out of the actor who brought it to life so much that no mirrors nor reflective surfaces were allowed during filming. Movies were not made to be scary just for the sake of being scary back then. They were like a dish with many ingredients.

Here’s the trailer I showed my relatives’ kids, but I had the decency to warn them the movie is actually the opposite of being fluffy:

The response from them in unison was: “Oh uncle Odysseus, we watched the newer version and that was infinitely better!” :expressionless_face: :man_facepalming:

This movie is about a team of 3 astronauts heading to Titan, with the primary focus on John, played by Casey Affleck. It is rather well done with limitations, on special effects. Sci-fi is only the background setting and the plot is more about conspiracies, mystery, and human interaction.

When the crew awaken to find a large dent in the hull of the ship and exposed wires, they perform a diagnostic. The computer tells them, there is nothing wrong with the ship.

I think it deserved a better rating, However when you bill a movie as science-fiction, the audience expects a roller coaster ride, aliens, and lasers.

22 days ago? Don’t you watch any movies?

This is a great Eve Online movie about corporate mining operations. I think I have a suit just like that in my closet.

Fly safe and stay alert o7

Christian Bale has a mole on the bridge of his nose. I figured out that it might be makeup since he normally isn’t like that.
