Doesn’t anyone write to you in your other ‘game’?
It should be pointed out that a lot of us play solo in EVE, which really isn’t any different than Star Citizen, No Man’s Sky, etc. It’s really just arguing semantics at this point…
If you’re in Exordium right now, it’s definitely not much different.
More nonsense… you might not have any friends in EvE, but you are not alone.
^ Not sure who this was directed towards…
nothing about the obvious fact that the game works as it is? Would admitting this be too inconviniend and too much bubble popping? ![]()
Hey, if you like it - more power to you. I can’t dispute that investing $ in Star Citizen isn’t any different than spending $ in EVE.
But Chris Roberts is the ultimate snake oil salesman!
and fenris is like a used car seller…so what…? ![]()
Both is not ‘ideal’…
No, FC is not like a used car salesman. Maybe a Tony Robbins seminar… Cloud Imperium is like an old time bible retreat. “You SHALL be save-ed!”
Sure they do. What ones purpose is in any game may not be anothers. I really think that depends on the player and what genre game they like to play to fulfill a said purpose.
Is EVE Online the only game you play? Have you tried others? Do you only play games that define the purpose youre after? Is a game with supposedly no purpose automatically blacklisted by you?
Anyone can answer these questions if they wish. Im sure the opinions will be all across the board and the definition of “a games purpose” will differ.
Up until FC decides to remove non-consensual PvP from hi-sec. ![]()

Hey, do you find No Man’s Sky has similar hardware requirements to Eve Online. I’m not renewing Omega once it runs out in August and was thinking about trying it out. My issue is I play Eve on a MacBook Air as I travel non-stop. It can manage Eve with medium settings without heating up too much, was wondering about No Man’s Sky. I tried playing Cyberpunk but that wasn’t possible. Thanks for the input.
I play this game and a much smaller game. Both games are very different from one another. Where in Eve I can do just about anything that I choose and not be locked out due to class. One day I could be exploring, mining, or eve the myriad of the other activities that I can either skill into or have the skills for.
The other smaller game is one where I can design and build a character. I play a rogue. A rogue that by now is able to get into just about any locked chest or disarm a trap. In a party I am the rogue off to the side quietly disarming a trap. While the battle rages around me. In this game past lives count and makes your 'Toon a lot more effective. My main 'Toon has multiple past lives.
But here in EVE I can get to dance on the edge of a cliff. Seeing how far i can go before someone makes ship into a pretty fireball in the sky and pods me. It is going to happen. I know it, but the question is. When will it happen again. Maybe today or next week. The other thing that I love about EVE is the Canon. There are stories there that have yet to be really explored. Even after these 20+ years.
Which obviously will come despite the pvp faction trying to bite at anyone that even states this ![]()
Maybe even excordium rules for all of high sec while keeping the actual profit possible in todays high sec…
If you say this to a pvp/ganker player you get raged out answers, it’s quite funny…but still it’s completely possible that we will go that way… ![]()
Neat, you don’t run into many DDO players. How’s the game doing these days?
The other side of this is that CCP has a habit of introducing something and then never touching it again. In the old days we had all this plot around the mysterious Enheduanni, and then they just stopped mentioning them at all. Presumably because a certain developer left the company, but come on, this is the kind of thing you keep notes to pass on to your successor. When was the last time we got anything from the trigs? Like them actually doing something, and not just the kybernauts taking the initiative and doing things on their behalf. Or how the ship quotes gets the trig syntax all wrong more often than not. Watch the Deathless never matter ever again.
I know every player thinks they could do a better job managing the game than the actual developers, but I sincerely believe any player would do a better job on the lore than CCP.
Super max raged out…
Nothing you say or do, not even flames will not change anything…
All you can do is ragequit because fenris ‘broke the only way the game is played correctly’, at least in your eyes…don’t let your butt being hit by the door on the way out. ![]()
GRRRRRR EPIC TEARS

ME SO SALTY
I know…and i pity you…
They tend to use “good riddance” in such situations, will be interesting to see how they react when on the other side of the expression. ![]()
