I have no idea what you just said…
Who did you ask? Who was the dev? Because to be honest I have not heard anything said in any [podcast. Nor hinted at in any post to date. So who is this Dev? As I would like to ask this person myself. If for no better reason than to get a confirmation.
My question is not taking your word. It based on one source of second hand information. Does not and really should not be believed. So provide the name of this Dev. That any of us can get the confirmation. Otherwise all we have is your word. Which I have my doubts as being valid.
UMM what? I do not PVP myself. Yet the same basic skill set is used for both PVE and PVP. While the experience is different of course. Your post does not make much sense. Most that primarily PVP or PVE. Generally do both. Not all PVE is mission running. It also is Abyssal, Combat, and Exploration. Just to name a few. But even then all have a PVP element. As you are going to at some point.
there is an old saying, i guess it is from around the time of dark age of camelot that states that all pvp players in every game are just pvp players because they are too dumb to understand boss mechanics in pve…that’s the only reason pvp exists, to cover the limitation of those players. And this is remarkable accurate i must say ![]()
dude…what do you want from me?
Name of the dev? How many cups of coffee he drank before our conversation? How his restroom experience was the same morning(consistence and amount)?
Beside that…you seem to believe that the information you get in an (official) podcast HAS to be the same you get in a personal conversation…This is wrong…
One is corporate announcement, the other one is -as the description says- personal…
But this simple fact seems to be new and even foreign to you.
A pity that you obviously lack so much exerience in personal conversation and instead fully rely on ‘official channels’.
But that is not my concern at all…i’m stating what i learned(as much as i can say, which is basicly nothing beside intimations because not much of it is final(which i also stated)) and this has to be enough for you…
But, on the other hand, the fact that you doubt anything i say does not change anything…
Since you can’t post any facts, just opinions, I’ll chime in.
Can you explain how you running bots and then going to work is harder than planning a gank? I don’t bother to gank, but that’s besides the point.
Yes. That parts not hard if you had any facts to lean on, but you don’t.
Blue must be back from the grave. While he was full of ■■■■, I had to respect him for his persistence.
so the only way to pve is running bots?
Are you really this ‘intellectually challenged’ ?
I pity you…
And beside that why is multi accounting 10 dessies and destroying an unarmed industrial with it even considered to be called ‘PVP’?
You see…this accusation game can be played by two people dude…
Then please explain how pve is harder than pvp? That at least should not be too difficult for you?
Edit; So, there is no dev you can quote. Got it.
This should be good…
No its the rather absurd menu system. I set up a base and external units including a power generator. It kept asking for some component for the power system, but no hint whatever is given as to what it is referring to or where you get it. It is as clear as mud.
I had zero problem creating bases in Tiberian Sun, Earth 2160, setting up towns in Rome : Total War, etc, etc…but No Man’s Sky is about as un-intuitive as it gets. Again and again in the game the matrix of components, skills, etc, is about as clear as mud.
Oh look…here’s what Google AI says…
"The No Man’s Sky menu system is notorious for being clunky, hidden, and un-intuitive. Many players find the nested layers, hold-to-confirm delays, and console-centric layouts frustrating to navigate. "
Leaving aside your laughable claim that something said this millennium is an old saying, the significant difference is that EvE PVE is not particularly challenging, I’ve tried it all, Incursions, Trig space sites, Burners and Filaments, none of it is particularly challenging if you are prepared and take the right fleet.
EvE doesn’t have bosses with mechanics.
The PvP on the other hand is quite good.
Some PvE activities kind of have “bosses”. But not in the typical sense that most have come to expect.
Sure, but they don’t really do mechanics like WoW, SWTOR or ESO
We’re in agreement.
I don’t know if having “bosses” similar to other games would make PvE in EVE more interesting or not. I’d be curious to know what the pure PvE-PvP split is in EVE.
right…multi accounting is ‘PVP’…
Do you even read what you write before sending it?
And yes…2000 IS ancient…
And yes…the part with the boss mechnic was not only relating to eve…the single word ‘every game’ shoulld have told you that, but obviously it’s much more important to keep the bubble from popping…
Well yeah. One player against another player.
You mean the part with the boss mechanic was entirely unrelated to EvE and thus entirely off topic in a forum about EvE
please try and at least keep your asinine comments on topic.
@Uta_Asmai You seem to have a hard time answering my questions. Why is that?
It feels like ganking is on the decline. Other than the usual suspects in Uedama (the diehard multiboxing groups), there are very few solo gankers besides the Tornados in Jita. Even flashy thieves are few and far between.
