It’s kind of hard to be “in the know” for every activity that goes on in EVE… I mean, I see Abyssal - you see botter… tomato, tomat-oh…
This admission really undermines your condemnation of ganking.
So you were performing a public service by “reclaiming” all those MTUs? lol
Yes sir, illicit MTUs have no place in my systems.
I enforce a ZERO TOLERANCE policy.
Really surprised you haven’t picked off any of my strays…
I spect they smell funny
As a point of note.. One: I do not gank.. Second: I expressed a concern and a reservation. That was separate and outside of ganking in general. Even stated that I would happily be proven wrong.
But thanks for showing your lack of reading comprehension.
You know, I think I’d have more respect for most gankers if they just admitted: “Hey, I like being an a**hole”. I mean, fair point - someone has to be the bad guy. I can also see you going after MTUs, miners and ships in your perceived “territory” - especially in the guise of role playing. But saying you’re doing this all as a “community service” for new players is really a stretch!
Are you sure you aren’t drinking just a tad much of your own koolaid? ![]()
I never said you were a ganker, just that you spoke out against exordium. Arthur is the one saying that those who spoke against exordium were gankers.
It is a community service for new players.
I just linked a 2006 boomerbear that I ganked. By killing him I created economic opportunities for new players. The wolfess thins the herd, so that young healthy deerlings may thrive!
I said a lot of the players who spoke out against Exordium did so from a ganking perspective (which they did). They may all have been gankers - they may have been alts. They may even have been alts of gankers… It could’ve been from one of the banned forum trolls…
I listed you as you were speaking against the differing philosophies between protected Exordium space and the rest of EVE. I am not the one claiming you are a ganker or anything of the sort.
It should be pointed out that I did suggest actual mining permits to encourage more PvP in high-sec… (not the ‘fake’ ones Aiko peddles, lol). This would allow players to freely engage anyone “infringing” on what they view as their territory/ore fields, etc. - without having to resort to ganking.
And in actuality, it would be easier to go after botting fleets…
@Aiko_Danuja Serious question for you: If someone wanted to run missions in your area, could they pay you a “protection” fee? Would you honor it? Would you gank other gankers that tried to gank those under your protection? I ask because once upon a time there was “honor among thieves” in EVE. But I think those days are long past…
Yes, of course! Mining permits start at 150 million isk, and an All Aiko Pass can be obtained for just one billion isk. Every miner is offered my full protection and guarantee. All legal citizens are welcome under my merciful regime.

What if it was mission running - not mining?
Mission runners are miners.
Are you sure you are not mistaking this conversation for another game? EVE is PVP and a lot more hardcore than most other games that claim to be PVP. And in a few months I hope to be proven wrong that new player retention will be better. Even a tick of a points in the right direction will be better than what has been.
And if sustainable and shows that this might be what is needed. As I have stated in more than one post. Something needs to be done for player retention. You can hate gankers. Me I find them amusing. Plus they reliably buy enough ammo, modules, and ships to keep me in space cheerios anyways. Besides what else am I going to do at the end of a day. Stare at a rock I have a laser on. Half a sleep while listening to the Grateful Dead. Swatting the occasional NPC 'rat out of the sky for what amounts to a cup of coffee.
Gankers landing on grid trying to gank me and that does happen from time to time. Is what amuses me the most. I am a wily old man and while it is possible to catch me out. My score still stands as only been ganked in a hauler. That was was all on me.
As for me I do not gank and see no point in doing it myself. When I can sell the gankers and the miners all their needs. As someone once pointed out at a gold rush. It is not the miner or those that claim jump that makes the real money. It is the person selling the goods to those miners and claim jumpers.
Yes I am a filthy arms merchant. And hey if someone can find the player that posted that to me. I would love to give credit where it is due.
Since when is stating a real reservation and/or a concern speaking against an idea?
Sure, I guess technically, lol. I think you’ve been looking at the whole “ganking” racket all wrong. I mean, I made an obscene amount of ISK last year. I would’ve gladly paid for protection so I could run “lighter” (more ISK-conducive fits) because it would’ve enabled me to make a lot more ISK…
