Whats the point of discussing ideas here?

What is the point of discussing ideas when 95% of active users here seem incapable of discussing ideas? Its like their spend their limited mental capacity defending the status quo instead of trying to understand and develop an idea further.

Its kind of pathetic, but so are the people who submit ideas and feedback here, or anywhere else for that matter. CCP just doesent care, the users that patrol the forum dont care. So why discus ideas and why give feedback. Why even play the game. Genuinely curious

It’s because of Chesterson’s Fence. You routinely fail to understand the status quo and therefore waste everyone’s precious time with ideas that are riddled with poor understanding and with little to no analysis.

When you’re the one always making crazy outlandish proposals, of course everyone else is going to seem like they are consistently “defending the status quo” when really they are consistently “defending against bad ideas” of which you have in copious amounts.

Good job bad mouthing everyone else, I’m sure “attacking people not ideas” is going to improve the situation and elevate the dialogue.

This is the underlying truth that a lot of people don’t understand. See threads like “Singularity Access” thread full of very entitled people demanding CCP listen to them and re-open Sisi access.
