@Marjorie_Taylor_Greene you can repeat this lie all you want, it’s not true and I’ve demonstrated it’s not true definitively. I have been involved in 2…maybe 3 kills my entire career. Give me a break. I have nothing to say to liar who named their character after the most reviled member of the US House. That’s clearly a troll move and they’re clearly here for no other purpose. I WILL give you credit though, you certainly sound like her.
@Ramona_McCandless still not actually adding to the discussion I see? Don’t worry, I’ll wait. When you’ve decided you want to actually read and participate in debate we’ll be here waiting for you. Until then all you’re doing is vomiting meaningless drivel out of every orifice.
@Minted thank you for your constructive thoughts. I disagree that it creates variety in nullification fits because of the cool down on the modules. This obliterates their usefulness, no matter what ship they’re fitted to because all a gate camp has to do to catch you is split into two systems. To achieve the same travel fit as it exists today you have to use the module, dock up, waiting out the ‘significant’ cool down, then repeat. Different varieties of useless is no variety at all, and that’s to say nothing about how this favors shield fits over armor fits. So I think the argument about variety is a cop out wherever it comes from. I don’t think you’re being honest with yourself, or at least understanding the problem if you think this increases variety. I’m hoping that, as I think it was you who pointed this out earlier, that the final iteration will be different. I am going to like your response though as an example for a more open mind. Still this is only one aspect of the problem. It all points to a design philosophy that is increasingly slanted to one group of people over everyone else.
No, I’m not against change, (I adore the industry and mining changes, because they fix something without breaking anything else irrevocably) I just think the three trends I outlined are the wrong changes and the demonstrate a profound lack of understanding about huge swaths of the player base. Someone said above that this is a solution without a problem in reference to (I’m assuming) the null/stab changes. I’m on the fence about that, because I don’t know what they’re trying to fix with these proposed changes other then the rage-tickets and rage-posts they get from campers whenever an interceptor or strategic cruiser blows through their gate camp. Admittedly, perhaps this has some value to those mostly dedicated to PVP? What I am certain of is how this impacts people who’s gameplay revolves around other things. I have yet to hear a good argument for why there shouldn’t be room for both.
No, Minted responded to points and outlined an argument. You’re just pooping out of your mouth. I’ll be happy to think otherwise when you do otherwise.
I literally wrote you two novels above. You have yet to refute or even address even one point in either novel. Hurling insults? You started that, I’m simply refusing to take you seriously until you decide to add something on the topic of the actual discussion. If you want to be a troll, you’ll only get trolled back. If you want to add to the discussion, you’d get debate back. It’s really that simple.
No you didnt. No reply to me has been anything but an insult.
Wrong. If you recall, I got involved when you threw this hypocritical insult:
Give me a rational, non emotive point and Ill indulge you. Otherwise, you are currently trolling.
There has to be a discussion first. So make a point, a single concise meaningful point, not a morass of emotional claptrap and perhaps, just perhaps we can have an adult discussion.
Anything else, and there’s literally no purpose to doing anything but flagging the response as trolling vOv
As I have already pointed out, this is a reasonable conclusion. You don’t name your character after a hated public figure unless you mean to troll people. And, again, this comment wasn’t even directed at you. Who is being emotional?
I have already, you are choosing to ignore them because you consider them ‘emotive.’ They aren’t exclusively emotive of course, as other people in this thread seem to understand, but you’d have to stop running your mouth long enough to see that. I’m still convinced you haven’t even read the arguments. Honestly every time you come back without a productive response, or any substantive response for that matter, you only embarrass yourself further. Is it trolling to find that amusing? I don’t know.
Looking at them now. My comments (re the stab/nully part), thus far, have been based on the announcement article. If my feelings and analysis on the matter change throughout the course of the evening, I’ll report that here.
Actually I smell low sec influence. Null gate camps usually have the tackle on gates to burn through WCS. Even a sr brawling Hac can make room for it.
Low sec has not liked this for years. As you can have a decent chance of seeing just one tackle.
Why this change is odd. WCS has had a hard counter. More tackle. Got 6 people…more than 1 has to ship up in tackle. Or…5 LR alpha strikers + 1 tackle wont have targets.
They almost seem to be taking a few lessons from WoW here. Lets add a timegate. As some players will burn time bouncing celestials burning CD’s off.
This is recent WoW thing. Lets add a few minutes here, few minutes there…lets get those time played metrics up! Still doing what you were doing in prior expacs (talents and casts haven’t changed much) but little things like GCD make it longer.
I agree, it does stink like that, but now I’m sitting here wondering if I going to want to be a Stiletto pilot any more. When you have been in a game for two years and can’t remember more than a tiny handful of positive changes (all of which were cosmetic if I remember correctly) but do remember an endless stream of negative ones you kind of start to wonder what the heck is going on.
It’s a clear direction last couple years - more players will pay extra cash to blow things up - so make it easier for people to drop cash and be able to blow things up quickly. If the people that will pay cash complain, nuke the gameplay that makes them complain, then add another PTW option. Selling quick dopamine hits is more profitable than the deep, complex game that Eve set out to be, so feed that beast like so many other games have done the last several years.
why I carebear alot. Have my rules of flying, they’ve worked well for me with minimal to no losses.
Eyeing smaller scale pvp though. A char will find her way to FW soon once some cores in place to where I am not nueting myself, saving the other player the need to neut me lol.
But it has it appeal. The high powered mains with moderate kronos carebearing can keep her fed with frigates, dessies and t1 cruisers readily enough. I think I can be content this way. Sure the carrier pilot is not flying a carrier. But…they won’t be waiting for the SRP welfare check that may not even come.
at 4 bil a loss., yeah, level 4 spam ain’t buying 2 of them in 2 hours of work lol. Now wolves…yeah I can blow these up often in FW and kronos spam the bill for that if fw not paying enough.
