Why I quit AG and why you should too

Dryson, you do that all by yourself.

I like your avatar’s background choice.

Had you always been against highsec ganking? Reason for asking is the age of your pilot and your zkill log is rather interesting to review.

nm the last i thought it breaks target lock

So anyone that does it is no longer permitted to fly with any large AG group then?

Right?

What evidence of being unbalance when the gankers destroy an extremely tanked ship like the players who do abyssals with a few stupid ass cheap ships like catalysts or trashers.

THey should need hundreds of ships

Is not just those.
just about anything can be destroyed like that
NONE of the pilots have any opportunity to fight back.
its supermega unbalanced .

Why do we need to do alt-tab to use a third party program/website to check routes, to check zkill, to check whatever we need to check ?
Why is it not implemented into the game ?

Why? Because your feelies say so or do you have a reason?

because its unbalanced but i am talking to the walls

Needing hundreds of ships to kill one sounds more unbalanced to me.

Whats wrong with it needing just one?

Why not kill a titan with a frigate ?
Becase the titan player has spent years of training it and years of gathering the materials to build it and the frigate guy just started the game.
make any sense in your head ?

Shouldnt one Titan be able to kill one Titan?

Or one frigate kill one frigate?

In most cases they do. It takes a lot of cats to take out an orca in high sec.

Really? Sounds like they don’t know how to target and pull the trigger.

Abyssals are a magical place of 0.0 murder space. Just because you pop the filiment in high sec doesn’t mean you’ll be safe. It teleports you to that murder zone. So you had best fit accordingly. Expect to get ganked.

Because knowledge is power in this game. It’s complex and dynamic so third party programs exist to assist players navigate it safely. If you want to play a simple game that doesn’t utilize third party programs, I suggest you play Stardew Valley. Or solitaire. I wouldn’t recommend hearts tho. People can gank you in that game.

Because coding, development time and CCP? It would be nice, but alt-tabbing or using a second screen isn’t too much of an inconvenience.

’ Balance ’ in Eve isn’t simply about ship vs ship or weapon vs weapon. Eve is far more a game of strategy. The balance for gankers vs miners lies in miner awareness and intel. The reasons I have never been ganked while mining are…

  1. I know where gankers hang out most…I avoid mining there
  2. I know where gankers hang out least…I mine in such places, especially low traffic systems. I know highsec systems where you can be the only person in the system !
  3. I add ganker groups to ‘bad standing’…so I can instantly see in Local if half a dozen gankers show up.
  4. I remain constantly vigilant and alert, using d-scan, Local, etc
  5. I have saved bookmarks in the asteroid belts, as far from the landing point as possible, and I rotate through them so gankers wont think I always mine at the exact same spot.
  6. I mine in a belt as far from the entrance stargates as possible, and as close as possible to a station I can flee to.

Avoiding being ganked is actually pretty easy. No method guarantees 100% safety, but using the above you can reduce the risk by a huge amount. Avoiding being ganked is all about mining strategy.

Yeah sure, they wont come for your little dodgy mining barge but they will come for your blingy battleship or ship you do abyssals with .
How about a 100% insurance of the ship and mods if you get ganked to make everyone happy ?

How about just playing the game as it is instead of being such an absolute whiny baby? I almost never say this but Eve is just not the game for you. The game isn’t changing for you, CCP isn’t changing for you, we aren’t changing for you. You are just going to be miserable here for as long as you stay.

Nah…you worry way too much. I’ve regularly flown a blingy battleship to Jita or down past Uedama. I scout first and know roughly how many gankers it would require to take out any of my ships…and the gankers know how many as well. So they leave me alone, as they seldom have enough ships to gank me. Sure…there are instances of fleets of 20 or more gankers taking out battleships. ‘Bring it on !’…is what I say. You need to stop living in fear and enjoy the glorious cat and mouse of it all.

I would not be so sure.
Game had lots of changes during its lifetime.
I dont want it to change for ME. i would love it changed for everyone`s sake

Your ‘everyone’ includes a huge majority who at any time could be ganked, yet who do not want ganking removed because they enjoy the cat and mouse of it all. You have this bizarre notion that everyone but gankers lives in constant fear and oppression and hates all the ganking. It simply never dawns on you that many, many, enjoy the thrill of evading the gankers and see it as an essential part of the game.

Good. Now be quiet.

Dear CCP,

This game is unbalanced.
Rock is grossly over powered. I demand an immediate nerf for Rock.

Paper is fine. No change needed there.

Sincerely,

Scissors

Me too, getting rid of high sec will help everyone set healthy expectations. Glad you agree.

I agree. High sec is very damaging to the game in general, and for the reason you stated. Expectations.

EvE is set in a grimdark universe where it isn’t safe. It’s the reason why I play it. Knowing that at any time someone out there could be watching, and plotting my demise. It makes it super exciting.

The sad reality is if Chinese Overlords do push CCP into implementing the safties set to green in high sec, I’ll probably stop playing.

Not necessarily solely because of that, but because there are newer and more graphically immersive space games that already offer that, like Elite Dangerous.
