The cargo and modules from the exploded ship can be recycled into minerals too.
The Galaxy runs on trade, with no explosions there is much less trade.
YES but those explosions are becoming more on the innocent than a rat. I put my bottom dollar nothing will be done by EvE devs because as you put it. They love explosions even on the innocent.
I might have to venture down to null sec. I guess thats too difficult for you guys to go down and do the same because of the offense that is there with a big baseball bat right.

I wanted to see how long I could “afk” mine in high-sec today in a mini mining fleet (Orca + 4x Skiffs). Not very long. If I targeted different asteroids about ~4-5min max. A lot of re-targeting and compression was involved. It was a lot easier at the outset with an untouched field - but once you get down to around 50% of the field left the micromanagement starts jumping up exponentially and you start averaging ~2-3min afk.
Took me roughly an hour to strip a raw field bare (maybe ~75m ISK in various grades of ore). Not really a great return on investment or ISK/hour - but it’s not spare change, either.
Just an observation (YMMV - greatly).

I’ve had numerous chats with Aiko and found her to be one of the nicest people in EVE. I had the same with Destiny Corrupted, another PvPer with many kills, who alas has long gone. The latter mentored me for a bit when I joined EVE…even made me several ships. And several others of the most deadly PvPers have also helped me. Its not always kind and loving help…sometimes it can be mockingly derisory, like ’ haven’t you moved on from that Gnosis yet ?'…but it is often precisely what is needed. True helpers spur you on…they don’t ever let you think you’ve made it.
The PvP crowd in EVE is not snarly psychopaths dribbling over their keyboards. They are just ordinary people playing a game…but most importantly recognising that if something is worth doing it is worth doing well.

Dude…not only am I not quitting, I am skilling up another alt for multiboxing. I can now fly two of my deadly 1200 DPS ENIs at the same time. And I got the cost down to just 64m ISK…with scram and web and neut. Alt 2 is about to start on the T3 ships. See you around EVE ! I mean that is where stuff is decided…not rants on the forums

I think many of us are all slightly deranged in this game and community…but its in a good way. I think thats why im so sucked into this game is because of meeting so many interesting motely crews that ive mingled with.
Positive derangement is a fun factor if used correctly. Pretty much all of us normal folk here can pick up on it and play with it like a rubber kick ball. But, you do have the few here that are the exception. I wont mention names.
