I don’t think you will find the DRM in the git repository.

Battleye is not DRM, it’s an anti-cheat program.
Anti-Cheat then, Steamworks itself has a DRM wrapper anyway, they also have VAC anti-cheat.
One good thing about Proton and Valve behind it is, it makes it harder hopefully to banhammer DXVK users as cheating since Proton itself uses DXVK.
I get some odd visual artifacts on the launcher from time to time.
