Wine Staging 10.0 Linux Mint 22

Hi,

I had eve working a few weeks ago fine with wine staging, can’t recall what verion it was. Reinstalled the computer and wine staging and no joy.

After installing wine staging I ran this which made it work before.

winetricks corefonts msdelta vkd3d vcrun2022 dxvk2030

After that Eve installed just fine and worked but now it does not. Anybody have any suggestion ? I see the EVE logo on the screen and the icon in the task bar but it never finishes or shows me the actual launcher.

At least for debian there was a problem with the release of winehq-staging 10.8. I switched to winehq-devel 10.8 in the meantime and this works for the launcher 1.10.1. I suppose wine-staging 10.8 will also work, but have not tested.

So check your wine version: wine --version
and make sure you use the 10.8 version of any flavor. Should work. You will also need the latest launcher. Just get it and run it with wine, it will install itself into the existing installation.
