Winter Event Mining Quests Question

So, for the current Winter event, there are 4 on-going repeatable quests. However, now 3 out of 4 of mine are mining quests, and I don’t even have the ability to mine Ice (more than a week of training, not anything trivial).

Has anyone found a way to get rid of these quests? Or is there some way to mine Ice without training a T2 industrial that I’m just totally missing? It’s really frustrating that I’m really hamstrung in trying to get all the event rewards because I don’t have a specific, fairly specialized, skill.

Yeah, Ice Miner I modules?

Sadly no Alphas allowed tho

Ice Harvester I works, but requires mining barge (Omega only).

Right, I’m Omega, but it seems ridiculous that my event progress is blocked by such a long train that I’d never do otherwise.

Its slowed but its not blocked though.

Just do all the other stuff.

That is his point though…
You can not effectively continue the event when the challenges are stuck on something you cannot do.

There really should be a way to ignore that challenge and get a new one!

Yeah point taken. Was confusing this issue with the Omega limits on the event, sorry.
