In a lot of the Western world, including Iceland, it is legal for same-sex couples to adopt children. So, children already know that two men or two women can love one another and create a family. And these forums are rated for age 13 (as pointed out above), which allows some content that is more sexual in nature, while banning explicit depictions.

It’s no more expensive than giving childbirth in the US. Besides, that’s one less child that puts a strain on the government for every couple that does adopt. There are not enough people adopting and you want to further reduce it?
