CCP will ultimately find that the way to keep noobs is to make the game more dangerous…not less so. It would be better to provide noobs with more opportunity to replace lost ships, than to prevent them losing them.
Fact is, CCPs own stats have shown that only 1% of noobs get ganked in the first 2 weeks. The vast majority who leave are not leaving because they got ganked. I suspect they leave because they are bored. And ironically the lack of danger is part of that boredom.
So CCPs attempts to ‘fix’ a non-existent ganking problem will only make things worse…like doctors of old who applied leeches to ‘heal’ a patient and then wondered why they died.
CCP need to do the counter-intuitive thing and increase the danger. Give noobs more starter ISK…more easy ways of replacing ships, and so on. But ‘safe’ areas…no, that’s not a fix, that’s the end of EVE.
Just as you say it…while it isn’t published and in effect and only announced in the forums, it isn’t in effect as it isn’t published and only announced in the forums and thereby no applicable rule for the not opened yet space yet and so won’t be enforced and can’t be adapted to by the players because the exact wording is unknown yet, because it is unpublished and not in effect, neither in the EULA nor in the rulesets accompanying the EULA on the mighty webpage of rulesets where also the EULA is published.
And all of these announcements and intentions are subject to change until they are finally fixed and published. From that point on, everyone can read them and adapt their playstyle accordingly.
I hope i have made myself clear enough.
Otherwise please get back to me and i will take my time to elaborate further.
Could you please read more thoroughly before posting?
I really don’t know how a non released rule for a non-opened space could be enforced in a non-opened space? You tell me how it is possible?
From my educational knowledge i can only enforce rules once i published them and the thing that is governed by these rules is in existence or in this case “opened”? A question of sequential timing, right? Cause and effect?
What even is your point? The content isn’t released, they said they will be updating the TOS/EULA. This is something you would complain about only IF the content is released and they enforce rules that aren’t published yet.
Well, the question is fallacious. Why would you even expect to police something, which doesn’t even exist?
Your whole issue is circular reasoning. You’re using a conclusion <rules don’t exist yet> to “prove” your premise <rules won’t be enforced>. Again, just a logical fallacy.
Correct. Since the EULA has to gover the game as it is now, only applicable rules are published and enforced.
I don’t have a point right now. I keep telling that the rules haven’t been released and finalized and that the space isn’t open, while other people tell be rules have been published in the forums and thus are already law and in effect.
Where? Everyone is talking about intentions and goals shared by CCP. You’re the one hell-bent on rules for non-existing issue. It is just that everyone is tired of your contrarian doom and gloom comments.
My actual last topic was - and there clearly was a “maybe” included…and it was an answer to Darquies Shade and then they jumped on me how i could even dare to ignore the written and established rules of Exordium:
Nobody here wants to spend mental energy on decyphering what was your “actual last topic” or whatever else you’re going to come up with. Don’t cherrypick the issue, you post a lot of comments and often refuse to elaborate further.
Just wait until rules do get published, instead of flopping around with absurd statements and made up problems.
How is something to be enforced when the space isnt even reachable? What is there to enforce? Nobody is there.
Rules and eula/tos changes will likely come when the content goes live. CCP through various developers and gm’s have expressed their plans and are up front about veteran players not being able to farm the content.
You’re just being ridiculous, like that shade guy. Over and over and over you have to be shown the posts by developers. You might quiet down for a short time, but then its back to the same ridiculous why why why why what if what if what if, i’m going to report everyone, i’m going to report everyone.
It’s nonsense. It’s child antics on a forum with no purpose other than to feed into the very same reason ccp gave for making the safe space for new players. Misinformation and hypotheticals and “I’m just asking questions” when you already know the answer.
You can read what they have published. You are playing coy and I do not understand the reason behind it.
